NOIDA- In a meeting with the officials of National Testing Agency (NTA), HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said that 9.5 Lakh aspirants are going to compete in JEE Main 2019. The newly formed conducting body i.e. NTA is currently active in organizing National Eligibility Test (NET). In order to invigilate the exam process, the HRD minister visited the NTA office in Noida. NTA has now conducted 8th NET exam successfully. NET is a 5-day exam process which is being conducted under the CCTV surveillance of 8000 cameras this year. It’s the first time when NTA is organizing this exam.
While addressing the media personnel and officials, the HRD minister stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi wants the authorities to organize the exams neatly, transparently, and in a student-friendly manner.
‘Choosing the questions for any paper is the key factor for the success of any exam,’ he said. Government has deputed 1200 experts to involve in the selection of questions.
‘In an endeavor to prohibit the unfair practices, over 40,000 jammers have been installed at exam centers’, the minister stated.
JEE Main will be held twice in 2019- 8-12 January and 8-12 April, said HRD Minister. NTA took an initiative of setting up 4000 test practice centres in various government office and colleges. The students from rural areas benefitted a lot with this initiative and more than 1,00,000 students stepped into the test practice centres for JEE Main 2019 preparation.
