89 Students and 6 Teachers detained in Dead Hours in Manipur University

Noida, 22nd September- A team of prominent officers have arrested 89 students along with 6 teachers on 21st September that was a Friday, in Imphal provoked by an agitation on the institute’s campus. A protractile team of police officers planked on the University teachers and students on the same day based on the complaint filed against them by the newly appointed Vice Chancellor K Yugindro Singh, IGP L Kailun which had been declared at a press meet in Imphal.

Singh has proclaimed that he had been grabbed and charged on by the agitators for trying to assume charges at the Central University where there have been a prolonged battle thwarted between the former VC, AP Pandey and the students and teachers have hampered academic activities for over four months, according to keen records and analysis.

The students of the Manipur University on the day of their examination had taken a triggering action against the elected VC and thus, gheraoed K Yugindro Singh who had been appointed as the Vice Chancellor by the Ministry of Human Resources Department. They compelled him chaotically to draft an apology over his appointment event as the acting Vice Chancellor Kailun has stated.

As a concluding action, the police officers had to burst tear gas shells over the students of the University who had pelted stones at the officers with rage on their blood flowing after the VC appointment. West Imphal SP Jogesh Chandra Haobijam, has told the PTI that they were brought into concern in the Imphal West chief judicial magistrate charging a totality of 6 teachers and 10 students and all the rest were released with a purpose.

It has been glared on in the couple of days that the state is melted into an emergency-like issue under the N Biren-Singh government. The situation that has been filed and planked upon through the allegations and agitations are to get a major solution to even knock out the minute issue as there is no motivation to count on any firm political mileage out of the clashes placed.
