5000 Seats Approved for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas

NEW DELHI –The Navodaya Vidyalayas are the only educational institutions across the country where students appear in the entrance examinations until the 6th standard. On Monday, the Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar has additionally approved 5000 seats for all the students of the same school. In these years, there has been an addition of total 9000 seats in the residential schools for the rural children who have immense talent and potential.

The step that has been taken by the HRD Minister will definitely bring a huge difference by the total addition of seats that has risen from 46,600 to 51,000 at the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. The admission of the students to the additional seats will commence from 2019-20 academic session. This has been an unprecedented beginning towards education.

For the entrance test to get admissions into Navodaya Vidyalaya, there are almost 31 lakh students who are going to appear for the same. This is a great initiative towards the growth of the budding children belonging to the rural areas of the country and helps them acquire quality education. The Government of India is also setting up goals to set up a large number of Navodaya Vidyalayas across the rural areas of the country.
