Exam Pattern for MICAT 2018

Mode of MICAT 2018  exam:

The MICAT will be conducted in a paper pencil format and you will have to select one right answer from the options given along with the question.

MICAT 2018 Exam Sections:

The MICAT exam will be divided into 2 sections, which are further divided into various parts. The Section I is subjective which consists of 4 descriptive questions on writing arguments, story writing and essay writing.

Section II is divided into 3 parts. Part 1 is a Psychometric Test, Part 2 is Reasoning and Verbal Ability and Part 3 will be a General Knowledge section, where you will have questions related to latest happenings and the news.

MICAT 2018  Exam Duration

The duration of the MICAT exam is 125 minutes translating to 2 hours and 5 minutes. The duration of MICAT Paper I is 35 minutes and that of the Paper II is 90 minutes. You are required to complete the exam within the time frame as no extra time would be provided.

MICAT 2018  Exam Number of Questions:

Section I consists of 4 descriptive questions. The Paper II Section 1 is the Psychometric Test, which includes 30 statements. Reasoning and Verbal Ability has 35 questions and General Knowledge section has 25 questions. Thus the total number of questions is 94.

MICAT 2018  Exam Marking Scheme:

The total marks of the MICAT paper hasn’t yet been declared by MICA. There is no negative marking for the Section I and the Paper I of Section II. The Paper 2 and Paper 3 have 25% negative marking in case of wrong answers.
