Master of Financial Management Course commonly known as MFM Course is a postgraduate programme in financial management affiliated by the University of Mumbai. The program would provide an opportunity to acquire theoretical as well as practical inputs relating to various segments of the finance world. The part time programme is spread over 3 years with six semesters. Applicants will be taught about various principles of financial management through this course. This programme will help the students to gain an insight into management of assets, funds & financial services as well as Financial and Management Accounting. Applicants will also learn about Investment, Security & Portfolio Management, Strategic Financial Management, International Finance and Business Ethics in this postgraduate programme. The students also undertake eight to ten weeks summer training at the end of the second semester. The summer training Program will help the students to get an opportunity to put their acquired financial knowledge to practice and also to influence on the experience gained in their second year.

  • Applicants must pass their Bachelors Degree from a recognized university to get admission in this course.
  • Applicants need to score at least 50% of aggregate marks in their graduation from a recognized university or its equivalent to apply for the examination (40% in case of SC/ ST category candidates)
  • Applicants those who have work experience in finance for at least 2 years have the advantage to earn a credit of 5% in the entrance test.

Question Paper Pattern for Part Time Course in

MFM/ MMM/ MHRDM/ MIM

Scheme of Assessments for Subjects of 50 Marks

The scheme of assessments would consist of two parts

  1. Internal Assessments – 40% (20 Marks for papers of 50 Marks)

1. Semester End Examination – 60% (30 Marks for papers of 50 Marks)

The Examination will be conducted for 30 Marks.

Remaining 20 marks would be awarded on the basis of performance in the Internal Assessments.

The allocation of 20 marks shall be on the following basis: –

  1. Two best of three periodical class tests held in the given semester (10 Marks)
  1. A better of two assignments based on class presentations to be selflessly assessed by the

Faculty concerned (05 Marks)

  1. Attendance and Active participation in routine class instructional deliveries (03 Marks)
  1. Overall Conduct as a responsible student, mannerism and articulation and exhibit of leadership qualities in organizing related academic activities. (02 Marks)

Question Paper Pattern for Semester End Examination (30 Marks) There will be Five Questions in all.

Q1 would be compulsory and would carry 10 Marks

In addition to Q1, there would be four questions. Each question would carry 10 Marks. Each of these four Questions will have three subjects – questions and each sub – question would carry 05 Marks

Students have to attempt any two out of the remaining four Questions and within each question; students have to attempt any two out of three sub – questions.
