Master of Commerce – M.Com Course Details

Master of Commerce is abbreviated as M.Com which is a postgraduate programme the students with commerce background pursue every year on a large scale. It’s a 2-year programme and the complete focus is laid on inculcating the students with advanced education in different subjects of commerce- accountancy, business management, economics, corporate governance, finance, HR management, statistics, marketing etc. In fact, taking into account the surging scope in the arena of commerce, various renowned universities and institutions have introduced specialized M.Com programmes in collaboration with foreign academic establishments. The specialized post-graduation in commerce helps the students nurture multi-dimensional skills for aspiring their career growth in diverse sectors. After completing M.Com, the gateway for further studies such as M.Phil and PhD also opens up.

M.com Course Eligibility Criteria

Applicants are eligible for the examination only if they satisfy the following condition:

  • Applicant should have passed their graduation from Commerce stream.
  • Applicants must be passing from courses such as from B.com or any other semester base course like BMS, BBI, BAF, BFM or any other equivalent examination from a recognized university to apply for the admission.
  • Applicants must score at least 50 % or more aggregate marks in their graduation as per the requirement of many colleges to apply for the admission.
