MAH CET 2018 MBA Application FormMaharashtra Common entrance test for MBA also commonly termed as MAH CET 2018 MBA is a state level MBA entrance exam for Maharashtra. This exam is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education also known as DTE Maharashtra state for admissions in the Management Programs conducted by MAHCET  participating institutes.

Graduates in any discipline from any renowned institute or the association of Indian Universities (AIU) scoring a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for reserved category) are deemed eligible to apply for the MAHCET exam. The selection procedure takes place after the filling and submitting the Application form via a counselling process where DTE conducts a common Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds for the shortlisted candidates. Once you clear the examination you are eligible for the MBA programs.

I’ll be breaking down the application procedure in a step by step format for your convenience.

MAHCET 2018 Application Form – Procedure

  1. Candidates who desire to apply for this exam has to first visit the DTE official website and register yourself by providing a valid email id and other details. If you already are a registered applicant you won’t be following this step.
  2. Once you login then under the application form you are required to fill in the candidate type details which will include personal mandatory information such as name, age etc.
  3. After which you will need to provide your Home University and Reservation details.
  4. The candidate is then required to fill in all his qualification details.
  5. After which he has to fill All India Exam details.
  6. Then the candidate is required to make a selection of MAHCET date and city preference.
  7. After completing g this process the candidate has to now upload scanned images of his passport size picture and his signature which should be in .jpeg or .jpg format and not more than 50kb.
  8. The last part of the application process is the payment of the application fees which is Rs.1000 for General category candidates and Rs. 800 for reserved category candidates*(as per sources though it’s liable to change. To keep updated do visit the official webpage). The application fee can be paid at any Axis Bank in cash via e-Challan as per schedule during bank working hours. Another mode of payment is via Internet Payment through Credit/Debit Card for which extra service charges will be applicable in addition to the application form processing fee.

The MAH CET 2018 application fee according to the categories is given in the following table.

For Open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates and NRI/foreign nationals/PIO/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries Candidates. Rs. 1000
For Candidates of Backward Class Categories, [SC, ST, VJ/DT-NT (A), NT (B), NT (C), NT (D), OBC, SBC] and Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only. Rs. 800

Any application sent via Post/Courier or the like to ARC’s/ DTE office will be rejected and there will be no communication made in this regard. Also, no documents are to be submitted at this stage.

  1. The candidate also has to submit and confirm the online application form for MAHCET via candidate login by themselves from the place convenient to them.

  3. during entering qualification in the form there is no detailed options for stream. For example i’ve done engineering and the only options available are science, commerce, arts, agriculture and others .. so should i select science or should i select others and put bachelors of engineering

  7. Hey. I am in last year of B tech comp sc in Delhi. Do they give preference to those domiciled in Maharashtra?
    Also, can you provide some details about the max marks/negative marking /sectional marks/question wise weightage,etc.
