ACLAT Exam Pattern 2019 – ACLAT Exam Pattern will be prescribed by Alliance University which is the apex body to organize ACLAT or Alliance Common Law Admission Test for the applicants to pursue various law programmes like UG, PG and Ph.D. etc from Alliance School of Law which is recognized by BCI or Bar Council of India, New Delhi. The candidates must be aware of the exam pattern of ACLAT 2019 before commencing its preparation. The details like mode of exam, type and number of questions, time duration, total marks, marking scheme etc will be specified by the authority while declaring ACLAT exam pattern 2019. The test will be conducted in online and offline mode. There will be total 200 questions of objective type in the paper. Total time for the exam will be 2 hours and the candidates need to finish the paper within this time.

    ACLAT Exam Pattern 2019 (Detail)

    ACLAT exam pattern 2019  for the Under Graduate and Post Graduate law programmes will be same while that of Ph.D. programme will be different. Let’s discourse about the detailed exam pattern of these courses:

    Exam Pattern for UG and PG courses

    • There will be total 200 questions in the paper.
    • The total time duration of the test will be 120 minutes or two hours. The applicants will have to finish the exam within this stipulated time only. No extra time will be given to any of the candidates in any case.
    • The total marks of the paper will be 200.
    • The question paper will be of objective type.
    • The medium of the exam will be English.
    • The candidates need to opt for only one answer for the question in both online and offline modes.
    • In case of online mode, the system will not take more than one answer for the question.
    • If the applicants tick mark more than one answer in case of offline mode, it will not be valid.
    • The topics that will be covered in ACLAT exam pattern 2019 will contain Language Proficiency, Legal Aptitude, General Awareness, Numerical Ability and Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability.

    Exam Pattern for Ph.D programme

    • The mode of exam is online and offline both.
    • The language of the paper will be English.
    • The type of questions that will be asked in the paper will be MCQ or objective type.
    • There will be total 200 questions in the exam.
    • The time duration for the paper will be two hours and the applicants need to mandatorily complete the exam within this time only.
    • The total marks allotted or the paper will be 200.
    • The topics from which the questions will come in the exam include Research Methodology, Research Reporting, filed of Interest chosen by the applicant for research, Data Collection Techniques and Interpretation, General Introduction of Research, Research Design and Study design and Literature survey and Proposal writing.
    • There will be different weightage for every section of the paper.
    • For each right answer, the applicants will be granted one mark.
    • For every wrong response, there will be the deduction of 0.25 marks as negative marking.
    • The candidates are supposed to tick mark only one correct answer for every question in both online and offline mode.
    • If they tick mark more than one answer in offline mode, it will be counted as incorrect one.
    • On the other side, the system will not allow the candidates to select more than one option for every question.

    ACLAT Marking Scheme 2019

    • The candidates need to know about the marking pattern in the paper that will be decided by the university.
    • They should know how much marks they will get for correct answers and how much will be cut for wrong answers.
    • Moreover, they must be aware of the fact that only one option needs to be opted for every question. Choosing more than one answer will not be valid.
    • The applicants will be given one mark for every right answer.
    • There will be the penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
    • There will also be the deduction of 0.25 marks in case the candidates opt for two or more answers for every question.
    • Leaving any question unattended will be taken as incorrect and the marks will be granted accordingly.
    • There will be the maximum marks of 200 in the paper.

    The below given points must be known to the applicants who are going to appear for ACLAT exam 2019. These instructions must be followed by the applicants while giving the exam:

    • The applicants need to use black or blue pointed pen to tick mark the answers in OMR sheet.
    • The applicants must mention the details sincerely and cautiously on the first page of the paper as this information is quite significant while evaluating the paper.
    • The applicants must read the topics that are in the syllabus in order to solve all the questions correctly in the exam.
    • The candidates will have to follow the instructions as specified by the authority while appearing for the exam.
    • The perfect time table needs to be created for best preparation of ACLAT.
    • The candidates can opt for previous year papers and sample papers to get the idea of the type of questions and their difficulty level.
