Karnataka Management Aptitude Test is a state level management entrance test for the admission in the private B-schools in Karnataka. The exam is conducted by KPPGCA (Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges’ Association) on behalf of the Government of Karnataka. KMAT scores are used for admission to MBA, PGDM and MCA programmes in more than 169 colleges in Karnataka. Students are admitted on the basis of an entrance test and marks secured in the qualifying exam. The test consists of objective type questions and contains different papers for MBA/PGDM and MCA.
The KMAT Application Form is available online at the official website kmatindia.com. Application form of KMAT 2015 must be submitted by those of you who wish to appear in the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test for MBA, PGDM and MCA admissions. The candidate details along with choice of test center needs to be entered in the form and submitted along with application fee of Rs 600 in the form of DD. Those of you who wish to apply for MBA and MCA both must submit separate forms.
KMAT 2017 Registration Process
The KMAT Application Form 2017 will be issued online via the KPPGCA. The following fields will have to be filled by you in the form.
- Name – Name of the candidate, as it appears in School Leaving Certificate.
- Nativity – Select Karnataka or Non Karnataka. If you do not belong to Karnataka by birth or domicile, select the latter.
- Date of birth – Enter DOB in the DD / MM / YY format.
- Category – Select appropriately from GM, SC, ST, OBC, PH, NRI, Ex-Ser, Others.
- Educational Qualification – Enter institution details and stream.
- Address – Enter the address.
- Test center – Select preferred city where you wish to take the test.
- DD details.
KMAT 2015 application fees
Those of you who are applying in only one course, MBA or MCA will need to pay Rs 600. Those of you who are applying for both courses MBA and MCA must register for each separately.
Steps to apply for KMAT application form 2017
Step 1: You will firstly have to visit the online site kmatindia.com.
Step 2: You will need to enter your exact name as mentioned in the school leaving certificate.
Step 3: You are required to tick off the correct option against nativity as there are only two options of Karnataka and Non-Karnataka. In order to be a Karnataka candidate, you must have domicile of the state.
Step 4: You will need to select your appropriate test centre and do note that the centre will have to be selected wisely as once selected it cannot be changed.
Step 5: You are now required to select the course you are applying for either MBA or MCA or both.
Step 6: You then are required to select your gender on the form.
Step 7: You then have to enter your DOB and do note that it should be the same as in your official documents such as class 10 certificates.
Step 8: In the stream you have to select the stream in which you have graduated.
Step 9: You have to now mention your complete postal address.
Step 10: The last step is the payment of fees. The DD should be drawn in the favour of “KMAT 2017” and will have to be payable at Bangalore.
