Karnataka PGCET 2018 Counselling Details

It is necessary for the candidates to attend Karnataka PGCET 2018 Counselling in person for the allotment of seats. The choice for the college and branch will be discussed on the counselling day only. The seats will be allotted on the basis of marks in the examination.

Karnataka PGCET 2018 Counselling will be organised in the month of September 2018. The Karnataka PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) is a state level entrance exam which is conducted by the Karnataka examination authority. The exam is for the candidates so that they can pursue their careers in courses offered by various institutes which are situated in Karnataka.  This examination is performed or held once in a year.

Karnataka PGCET 2018 Counselling – Steps

Each candidate will be curious about the counselling process of Karnataka PGCET 2018. Take a look at the following steps to know more about the detailed information on Karnataka PGCET 2018 Counselling. The process of Karnataka PGCET 2018 Counselling will be done by the following method.

Step 1: Registration Process

For the registration, candidates have to move to their nearest help centre after registering themselves document verification takes place.

Step 2: Document Verification Process

After the registration process, the document verification takes place.The candidates have to submit original documents along with the attested document along with one set of attested photocopies. The candidates who have qualified GATE, QIP aspirants, sponsored aspirants non-Karnataka candidates should report to the Bangalore centre for according to the given schedule.

  • Two recent Passport size photographs

  • Original GATE Score Card.
  • Caste Certificate / Caste Income Certificate / Income Certificate obtained from the concerned Tahasildar for  Karnataka Candidates only
  • Domicile of Parent: Parent’s study certificate / Parent’s Hometown certificate / (Parent’s Domicile certificate / Parent’s Employment certificate / Parent’s Cumulative Record / Parent’s Marks Card, etc.)
  • Certificate issued by the concerned Assistant Commissioner for Hyderabad-Karnataka Reservation Candidates

Step 3: Verification Slip 

After successfully completion of document verification candidates will have a unique key along with a verification slip. They must verify each and every detail in the verification if any detail is wrong then he/she must contact the exam authority.

Step 4: Option Entry

KEA will announce the seat matrix and fee details and after that, the candidates will be able to do the option entry. To do so, the candidates will have to submit the choices for the course and colleges. The choice filling can be done online and the link to do so will be soon uploaded on this page.

Step 5: Mock Allotment

KEA will be conducting mock allotment to let the applicants get a detailed idea regarding how the seat allotment process of Karnataka PGCET 2018 works. Seats will be allotted to the applicants as per his/her selected choices. After checking which seats were allotted through the selected choices, the applicants will be able to change or edit their options before the final allotment.

Step 6: Seat Allotment

The seat allotment process of Karnataka PGCET 2018 will be held in online mode. The first round of Karnataka PGCET Seat Allotment 2018 will be announced on September 2018 while the result of the second round will be announced on September 2018. All of the registered applicants who meet the eligibility criteria will be allotted seats into the participating institutes. Allotment of seats will be done as per the ranking of the applicants in the qualifying examination and his/her selected preferences. GATE qualified applicants will be given preference and the vacant seats will be allotted to those applicants who have qualified Karnataka PGCET 2018 applicants. After the second round of allotment, the vacant seats will be converted to general seats for the third round of allotment.

Step 7: Reporting at the Allotted Institute

All of the allotted applicants will be required to pay the fees to confirm their admission. After the successful payment, the applicants will have to download the admission letter of Karnataka PGCET 2018 and report at their allotted institute. The applicants will have to log in and report to KEA regarding the joining of college after completing their admission formalities.The last date for reporting to the college for candidates who have been allotted seats at the end of the first round is September 2018, while for second round it is September 2018.
