SSC CGL 2019 – The admit card of SSC CGL recruitment 2019 has been released by the exam conducting body. The candidates who have successfully applied to appear in SSC CGL 2019 exam can download their admit card from 16 May 2019. A link has been posted also on this page to download the same. The Staff Selection Commission or (SSC) takes the responsibility for conducting the Combined Graduate Level exam commonly known as SSC CGL 2019 for the graduate candidates for the Grade B and Grade C posts in the government sector departments/Ministries /organization every year. The candidates who want to take advantage of this opportunity and want to grab offered designations in SSC can fill the Application Form that will release on 5 May 2019. Applications will be accepted till 4 June 2019. Those willing to get recruited must first check the Eligibility criteria before filling the Application Form and thereafter only the eligible candidates can apply for the SSC CGL exam.  The Application Fees is rupees 100/- for general category candidates. The reserved category of female candidates does not have to pay the Application fees. While filling the Application Form if the candidates happen to submit any incorrect information in the form, they will be given a chance to make corrections once before the release of the Admit Card. The Applicants will have to qualify all the four rounds of the recruitment process to get recruited for the applied job. The first round (Tier-1)is an objective type test that will be conducted online from June 4, 2019, to June 19, 2019. Round two is divided into two sections- English and quantitative aptitude of 200 marks each. The third round is a descriptive type test that assesses the writing skills of the candidates in English/Hindi. The fourth round is for the candidates who applied for the post of Assistant Audit Officer. The candidates will be allowed to appear for the next round only after qualifying the previous round.

    About SSC CGL Tiers:

    Tier I Tier I will be held in June month 2019 via online mode with objective type questions.
    Tier II Tier II will comprise of two papers of 200 marks each for Quantitative aptitude and English.
    Tier III Tier III is a descriptive type exam to test the written skills of applying candidates in English/Hindi.

    SSC CGL2019: vacancy

    The vacancies for the SSC CGL 2019 is yet to be released by the Staff Selection Commission in the official website so, here we have mentioned the previous year vacancies to get the estimated idea of the vacancy plan that is offered by the Staff Selection Commission.     SSC CGL Application form 2019/ SSC CGL 2019 Registration

    The very first step towards the recruitment process is Application form which will be available on the official website from 5 May 2019 and can be filled via online mode only. Application forms will be accepted online by the official authoirty till 4 June 2019. 

    • Candidates are required to register by entering his/her e-mail ID, password and phone number.
    • Official authority will issue a registration number which will be very useful in future.
    • Candidates will require a scanned photograph and signature in order to fill the application form in JPEC format only.
    • After filling of all the particulars candidates are required to pay the application fee.

    SSC CGL Form Status

    After filling the Application form candidates should check the status of the Application form by visiting the official website only. The status will be displayed as follows:

    • Received: When the application is received by the official authority.
    • Under Scrutiny: when the application is under the view of authority.
    • Accepted: When the official authority accepted
    • Defect Status: When there is any defect in the Application form.
    • Rejected: When authority rejects the application form. This can happen with ineligible candidates.

    SSC CGL 2019 Admit Card

    The Admit card for SSC CGL 2019 will be available on the official website before 2-3 weeks of the commencement of the examination. All candidates are requiring carrying the Admit card along with them at the time of examination. Without the SSC CGL admit card 2019 no candidate will be allowed to enter in the examination hall. Availability of Admit card will be check by the invigilator over there. Admit card will provide all the necessary information like exam date, exam time and centre of examination.      SSC CGL Tier III Syllabus 2019

    • Tier III examination will take place via offline mode only.
    • Candidates are required to write précis, essays, application, letter etc.
    • Time duration will be 60 minutes but for PWD category duration will be 80 minutes.
    • Candidates who are interested in the post of “Statistical Investigator Grade II” & “Compiler” are only required to give Tier III.

    SSC CGL Tier IV Syllabus 2019

    Tier-IV examination comprises of a couple of skill sets required for certain Government Posts all over the country.

    • DEST (Data Entry Speed Test): DEST Exam through SSC CGL exam is conducted to check the typing speed of the candidates who are applying for the post of Tax Assistant (Central Excise and Income Tax). A candidate is required to type 2000 words in 15 minutes.
    • CPT (Computer Proficiency Test):Word Processing, Spread Sheets and Generation of slides are the three modules that are important for this exam and the official authority demands a candidate to be proficient in it for the designation of CSS, MEA, Inspector (Central Excise), Inspector (Preventive Officer), and Inspector (Examiner).

    SSC CGL 2019: Result

    The SSC CGL Result 2019 will be released in the month of May or June 2020 on the official website only. Candidates are required to login in order to see their result. Result will be released post wise and marks wise manner with the candidate scoring maximum or higher marks will be credited with All India Rank (AIR) 1. Allotment of jobs will decide by the AIR of the candidate. The official authority will release result after each selection procedure and tier.

    The SSC CGL cutoff is basically the marks set by the Staff Selection Commission that is considered as the passing level of the examination. 2018 cut off is yet to be announced on the official website of the Staff Selection Commission.     SSC CGL Selection Procedure 2019

    As exam is held in multiple tiers so selection procedure will be dependent on tiers only.

    • Those candidates, who will qualify the Tier I successfully, will be eligible to appear in Tier II.
    • Those candidates, who will qualify in Tier II successfully, will be eligible to appear in both Tier III and Tier IV.
    • The final merit list or cutoff list will be cumulative marks of all three tier i.e. tier  I, tier II and tier III.
    • Tier IV is of qualifying nature and mandatory for those candidates who have applied for CSS / MEA / Tax Assistant Posts. 

    Tips and books for preparation

    The candidates who are ambitious to crack the exam will start their preparation early. Given below are a few more tips to excel in the exam:

    · The awareness of the syllabus is important to every candidate. Everyone must know the syllabus before starting to study. This way you focus your time on the topics that have the highest chances of being asked and won’t fear the question paper.

    ·  Make a study plan. You will be able to give time to every topic evenly and will be able to give more time to the important or difficult topics. Also, you will have time for revision if you study hard and smart.

    · The SSC CGL cutoff is expected to go high due to the absence of interview round in the recruitment process. Thus everyone is advised to study hard according to the cutoff marks of the previous year.

    · The candidates who score high in quantitative and English will be given preference and have higher chances of qualifying the round.

    SSC CGL 2019: FAQs

    Q. how can I correct my application form?

    A. you cannot correct your form after submitting it. What you can do is fill a new form for SSC CGL 2019 and the new form will be considered for SSC CGL Exam.

    Q. is there any negative marking for the wrong answer?

    A. yes there is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for every incorrect answer. However, unattempted questions will not be marked at all.

    Q. is there any other modes of preparation?

    A. there are basically three modes of preparation that are helpful for everyone- Offline coaching, online coaching, and self-preparation. Out of the three, online coaching is found to be more convenient as you can study at any place and at any time. 

    Q. I have submitted the application fee through offline bank challan but the details have not updated in my application form. What do I do?

    A. you have to wait for three working days in order for the application form to update.

    Candidates who will successfully qualify each selection procedure stage will be placed in various Central government departments, ministries and organizations across country. Placement will be completely dependent on the performance of the candidate and preference chosen by them at the time of submission of Application form. Letter of joining would be issued within month or two of completion of recruitment process.
