KTET 2019 – KTET is the short form of Kerala Teachers Eligibility Test. As the name states, this is the Exams for the teachers’ post in the government schools of Kerala. The candidates who want to pursue their career in teaching field and get the benefits of working in the public sector in the state of Kerala can take this opportunity and submit their applications to appear for the KTET Exams 2019-20. The candidates who were interested must have first checked their eligibility for the post they wanted to apply and then filled the Application form. The basic eligibility required to be fulfilled by the candidates for the teacher’s post is B. ED. and D. ED. for Kerala TET. The applications for the KTET 2019 will be announced in their official website soon. The aspiring candidates are advised to go through the exam pattern and syllabus, selection procedure, application procedure and examination fee, vacancies, cutoff, and important dates, all of which are mentioned below in this page.

    KTET 2019: Notification

    The process of examination will be started after the release of official notification. Official notification will be released on the official website of the conducting body. It is expected that official notification will be released from 3rd week of December 2019. Process of application will be started soon after the release of official notification. It is expected that the applications will be accepted till first week of January 2019.

    Examination will be conducted in the month of February 2019 tentatively. Candidates will get eligibility criteria, important dates and selection procedure in the notification. Notification will be released with the motive of selecting the candidates for primary and upper primary teachers in the schools of Kerala.

    The notification and date of KTET 2019 events are not announced yet on the official website of the Kerala Test Eligibility Test. Here we have provided the assumed date sheet of the KTET 2019 events which is a reference from the date sheet of previous KTET exam.

     KTET 2019: Vacancies

    The vacancies offered by the government are the number of seats that needs to be filled for the various positions of subject teachers. The KTET authority has not released any information or notification regarding the vacancies offered by the government. The notification regarding the offered vacancies will be released in our webpage as soon as the official notification is released in the website of KTET. The KTET Exam offers job for the teacher’s position in government schools of Kerala for various subjects and classes.

    KTET 2019: Application Procedure & Examination Fee

    The candidates who want to work as a government school teacher in Kerala must have applied for this Exam. But first the candidates need to check the eligibility criteria before filling the application forms of K-TET. Certain requirements that are set by the examination authority must be achieved to be called eligible to appear for the KTET Exam. Here we have mentioned the procedure to submit the application form.

    Instructions for Application Procedure:

    • Go to the website of KTET i.e. https://ktet.kerala.gov.in/.
    • Click on the link “online application for KTET 2019”.
    • Next, Fill the authentication form that appear on the screen after which the application number will be generated and the password chosen will be used for logging in your account for any further use.
    • Fill the entire application form and upload the necessary scanned documents in similar size and dimension as mentioned by the authority, in the KTET Application Form.
    • Lastly, complete the application procedure by doing the payment of the Examination Fee.
    • Take out the printed copy of the conformation page after submitting the application form for future purpose.

    Examination Fee:

    • The examination fee for all the candidates of any category is Rs. 500/-
    • The examination fee for all the candidates of SC/ST/PWD category is Rs. 250/-

    KTET 2019: Admit Card

    The KTET Admit Card is only issued to the candidates who have successfully submitted the application Form and is eligible as per the criteria mentioned by Examination authority for the KTET Exam. The Admit Cards will be announced few weeks before the Exam date on the official website of KTET. The notification for the release of Admit card will be announced in our website as soon as it is released by the examination authority. The candidates are advised to keep the admit card safe with other important documents as it is mandatory to carry the admit card along with other necessary documents to the Examination centre.

    KTET 2019: Selection procedure

    The candidates have to appear in the written examination which will be conducted by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan. Furthermore, the candidates have to go through the interview round where the communication skills of the candidate will be assessed by the panel of examiners. Lastly, based on the marks obtained in the written exam and performance in the interview round will be used for calculating  the composite score and then the list of selected candidates will be released who will be recruited as the teacher in the state of Kerala.

    KTET 2019: Eligibility Criteria

    The candidates must be aware of the eligibility criteria if they are aiming to appear for the KTET 2019-20. Only the eligible candidates who fulfill every criterion of eligibility will be allowed to appear for the KTET Examination. The candidates are advised to read the below-mentioned table carefully to know the eligibility criteria of the KTET exam set by the Kerala pareeksha bhavan for the various posts that are offered.

    Paper I (lower primary)

    ·         12th passed with total 45 % marks

    ·         Bachelors Degree in B EL. ED.

    ·         2 years of trained teachers certificate by board of examination or 2 year diploma in elementary education.

    Paper II (upper primary)

    ·         BA/ B Sc/ B Com degree from a recognized institute or university.

    ·         2 years diploma in TTC (Trained Teachers Certificate) conducted by board of examination.

    ·         OR BA/ B Sc/ B Com degree with at least 45 % marks in total and B ED. from recognized university or institute.

    Paper III (high school classes teachers )

    ·         Graduate with at least 45 % marks from a recognized university or institute.

    ·         B. ED. degree in the concerned field.  

    Paper IV (up to high school level)

    ·         M Sc Ed. degree in life science for Physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology and zoology, from a recognized university or institute with at least 50% marks.

    KTET 2019: Exam Pattern and Syllabus

    The candidates appearing for the KTET 2019 must know the syllabus and the exam pattern so that they attempt their exam confidently and calmly. The examination authority has not released the official notification for the KTET 2019 therefore we have provided here the syllabus of previous year.  The exam pattern and syllabus of the examination is similar every year and has a basic structure that they follow when making the exam paper. The previous year syllabus and exam pattern will help the aspiring candidates to prepare for the exam.

    KTET 2019: Results

    The results of the KTET exam will be announced soon after the exam is conducted by the Kerala Pariksha Bhavan. The result of the written exam and the final result of selected candidates will be released on the website of KTET. The notification for the same will be uploaded on our webpage soon after it is released on the official website. The candidates will have to login to their examination account to see look their results. The candidates need to meet the K-TET cut off to qualify the written exam and the qualified candidates will be called for the interview round. The final result of the interview round and the list of recruited candidates will be announced thereafter on the official website.

    KTET 2019: Cut off

    The cut off will be released after the result is announced in the official website of KTET. The cut off decides the minimum percentage of marks that must be acquired to qualify the examination. The cut off is slightly different every year and gives a hint to the candidate to prepare accordingly for the upcoming exam. The cutoff of KTET 2018 is not released yet so here we have provided the cutoff of KTET 2017 for the ease of the candidates.

    KTET 2019: Answer key

    The Kerala pariksha bhavan has not announced the date to release the answer key. The candidates will get their answer key on the website of KTET where they will have to login to their examination account made at the time of application submission to download the answer key in PDF form. The answer key is provided to the candidates for the transparency of exam. The candidates get the answer key to check their answers and assess themselves so, they know their mistake. Also, the candidates can raise objections if they find any mistake in the correction of the answer paper by the authority or they have confusion in any question that they think is incorrect. The answer key will give a hint if the candidate has chance to qualify or not, and also, get an idea of the estimate marks they will score in the exam.
