AFCAT 2019 Notification has been published by the Indian Air Force on December 1’ 2019. The application form filling and submitting procedures will be held from December 1 to December 30 with the examinations held online on the February 16 and 17 of the same academic year 2019. There are in total 104 exam cities and 163 vacancies to be occupied through the examination. The aspirants who have the motivation to serve the nation can make an effort to crack the exam, by being commissioned officers in Flying, Ground Duty (both technical and non-technical).     AFCAT 2019: Eligibility Criteria

    Candidate’s first priority should be checking the eligibility criteria. An eligibility criterion is framed considering many factors like Nationality, age limit, educational qualification and marital status. Only those candidates will be able to submit the application form successfully who will fulfill the eligibility criteria completely. Candidature of ineligible candidates will be cancelled by the official authority immediately.

    Nationality

    Candidates with Indian Nationality are eligible to apply for AFCAT 2019.

     Age Limit

    For Flying Branch (AFCAT & NCC Entry):

    ·         Candidates must be between the age group 20 to 24 born within January 1996 to January 2000

    ·         An upper age limit for the candidates Commercial Pilot License issued DGCA is relax able up to 26 years

     

    Ground Duty:

    ·         Candidates must be between the age group 20 to 24 born within January 1996 to January 2000

     

    Marital Status

    Below 25 years, candidate should be Unmarried.

    Widows or widowers or divorces below 25 years of age are not eligible to apply for AFCAT 2019.

    Educational Qualification

    Candidate should have passed class 12th with minimum 60% marks and physics and mathematics as core subjects. 

    OR

    Candidates should have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university/institution with an aggregate of 60% marks.

    AFCAT Application Form 2019

    • AFCAT application form 2019 can be filled by the candidates via online mode only.
    • Application form will be available on the official website of the conducting body.
    • Application forms have been released by the authority on 1 December 2018 and will be available till 30 December 2018.
    • It is advisable to the candidates to fill the AFCAT application form before the last date as there can be last-minute rush on the official website.
    • Once the application window gets closed, the official authority will not entertain any application.

    How to fill the application form of AFCAT 2019?

    • An Aadhar card is mandatory for the application process to get accomplished successfully

    AFCAT 2019: Application Fee

    The application fee for all the candidates from all the categories will have to submit an amount worth Rs. 200. Moreover, the NCC ought not to pay anything for the application submission. The application fees ought to submit by students in an online mode through credit/debit/or net banking, respectively.

    AFCAT 2019: Classification of Commissions

    PC for men

    • The candidates joining as the PC officers would continue to serve in the same position till they acquire the age of superannuation as per their branch and rank.

    SSC for men and women

    • The candidates who join as the SSC for flying branch serve for 14 years from the date of commissioning
    • The initial term for SSC officers in ground duty (both tech and non-tech) serve for the tenure of 10 years
    • There can be an extension of 4 years which may be granted to the position holders subjected to willingness, convenience and service requirements and availability of seats as well.

    AFCAT 2019: Exam Pattern

    • The AFCAT examination will be conducted for the duration of two hours.
    • The exam is subjected to the Multiple Choice Questions
    • The exam evaluates the verbal ability, numerical ability, reasoning, general knowledge, and military aptitude as well
    • The Engineering Knowledge Test would be conducted for duration 45 minutes which is conducted immediately after the AFCAT 2019.
    • It is mandatory for all the candidates to qualify the AFCAT and EKT who are planning to opt for Ground Duty (tech and non-tech).
    • All the eligible candidates must register online through AFCAT Entry/ NCC Special Entry.
    • The candidates are expected to register on time or submit the application form on time without any delay on the same.
    • The candidates who are eligible for one or more entries are expected to register separately in each entry.
