JKBOPEE 2017 Complete Details

The Jammu B.Ed entrance test is also known as the JKBOEE 2017 B.Ed entrance test is conducted by JKBOPEE annually at test centres decided by the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations. The JKBOPEE Entrance test is the gateway for admissions into the Govt. College of Education, M.A Road Srinagar and Govt. College of Education, Canal Road, Jammu. This entrance exam is only for the residents of Jammu and Kashmir and have a permanent address.

JKBOPEE 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Those candidates who are interested in applying for this particular entrance test have to ensure that they are a permanent resident of the state as defined in section 6 of the constitution of Jammu and Kashmir and should have cleared B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com/ B.CA/ B.BA or any such equivalent examination from a recognized universityor institution in accordance to the 10+2+3 pattern and should have obtained a minimum of 45% marks aggregate for open category with a relaxation of 5% of marks aggregate for reserved category.

Those candidates who are appearing or who have appeared in the qualifying examination are also eligible to appear for the entrance test but they must have passed the qualifying examination and secured the percentage of marks required at Clause (c) at the time of admission to the B.Ed Course.

How to apply for JKBOPEE 2017 Exam

The JKBOPEE Entrance forms for B.Ed Entrance Test can be issued online via the official site. Also a requisite application fee of 1000/- INR has to be paid online or via bank challan. The process has been broken down into a step by step format for your convienence

  1. The candidates have to visit the official website www.jakbopee.org in order to fill in the form as per the instructions given in the e-brochure.
  2. After the filling of the application form with valid details and submission ofg the same a provisional registration slip will be generated that the candidate has to download for future reference
  3. Those candidates who belong to open merit need not submit any confirmation page in the BOPEE office though however those candidates who c laim the benefit of any reserved category will have to submit a Conformation Page of their online Application form along with the attested photocopy of the reserved category certificate in the office of the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations ,(BOPEE) Srinagar/Jammu (J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations Srinagar or Jammu offices) on any working day from 10 AM to 5 PM
  4. Those candidates who belong to the reserved category and fail to deposit their Confirmation Page of Application form will be required to pay a certain amount as late fee as per the norms

JKBOPEE 2017 Exam Pattern

Knowledge about the exam pattern is one of the most critical things for candidates. As per the information brochure online the exam will consist of one paper which will consist of 160 questions and the duration of the examination will be 2.5 hrs (150 mins)

Do note that all the questions are compulsory and each question will be carrying 1 mark each. There will be 0.25 negative marks for every wrong answer and those candidates who secure negative marks will not be considered for the admission even if the seats remain vacant

JKBOPEE 2017 Exam syllabus
