JEE Main Result 2018 for JEE Main 2018 Paper 1 (offline) is declared on 30th April 2018, and JEE Main 2018 Paper 2 (online) will be declared on 31st May 2018, which can be viewed through online process only from 1:00 pm onwards. JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) Main is a national level examination supervised by the CBSE Board. The exam conducting authority of JEE Main 2018, i.e. CBSE has released the result for the JEE Main offline exam 2018 on 30th April 2018. How to Check the JEE Main Result 2018?

JEE Main Result 2018 for Paper 1 is declared on 30th April 2018, it can be viewed through online process only from 1:00 pm onwards. Candidates need to follow these steps to check the results

  • Go through the official link of JEE Main Result (link to check result).
  • Fill the necessary details such as Roll Number and Date of Birth.
  • After filling the details, click on “Submit” button.
  • The result will display on the screen.
  • Take a printout of the result and keep it safe for future use.
  • Candidates are advised to keep at least 2 copies of their result.

The score and rank of Paper-I of JEE Main 2018 for all candidates will be declared after the declaration of result of JEE Main exam in April 2018. This score comprises the actual marks obtained in Paper-I of JEE Main 2018 along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE Advanced 2018 provided and subject to other conditions of eligibility being met. The rank shall comprise All India rank and All India category rank. Only the All India Rank (AIR) is used for admissions through Central Seat Allocation Board.

JEE Main Result 2018

After completing the examination of JEE Main 2018 which was held on 8th April 2018 (pen & paper) and held on 15th April 2018 & 16th April 2018 (computer based), the consent authority has released the JEE Main Result 2018 for Paper 1 on 30th April 2018 at 1:00 pm, it is declared through online mode. The result for Paper 2 will be released on 31st May 2018. Candidates can view and download their results through the official link (link will be provided). Candidates are required to enter their roll number and date of birth to view results. Candidates are suggested to keep extra printouts of the result as it will be required until the admission process gets completed. A merit list will be prepared according to the marks scored in the entrance exam and 12th or equivalent exam. After the result declared, the JEE Main Rank Card will be issued containing the All India Rank, State Rank, Category Rank and other details regarding JEE Main.

Things to Check Along With JEE Main Result 2018

The candidates should not forget to download their result and score card while checking their results as they need to represent the same while admissions. Apart from JEE Main 2018, the JEE advanced 2018 qualifying status should also be checked. It will let the candidates know if they are among the 2,24,000 candidates of JEE Main 2018 who have successfully made it to the JEE Advanced.  The candidates who qualify for JEE Advanced will have to register for the same, maybe from the first week of May 2018. Candidates won’t need to lose their heart if they fail to qualify to JEE Advanced. Instead, they should start applying for the state-level admission processes/ counseling. Also, they can apply for admission in the universities and institutions that accept JEE Main score for admissions.

  • Resolution by marks obtained in Mathematics in JEE (Main) – 2018. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by marks obtained in Physics in the JEE (Main) – 2018. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks. Candidate having a higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank.
  • If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates will be given the same rank.
    Rank list for admission to B.Arch. /B.Planning(in institutions other than IITs)
  • Resolution by marks obtained in Aptitude Test in Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) in JEE (Main) – 2018. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by marks obtained in DrawingTest in Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) in JEE (Main) – 2018. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks. Candidate having a higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank.
  • If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates will be given the same rank.

    JEE  Main 2018 Counselling

    JoSAA counseling 2018 will be started right from June 2018 after the announcement of the JEE Advanced result & JEE Main (AIR). Counseling procedure will be held in 4 steps like Registration, filling & locking choices, seat acceptance & fee payment process. All steps will be done via online mode only. After fee payment, other procedure like document verification and reporting will be done in offline mode.

    JEE Advanced 2018 Registration

    Candidates who qualify the JEE Main exam are eligible for JEE advanced 2018 (candidates must score 75% marks for Gen/OBC & 65% marks SC/ST/PWD in 12th or equivalent class). The JEE advanced 2018 registration will commence from April 2018. Candidates can register until May 2018. JEE Advanced is conducted for admission to B.tech/B.E/integrated M.tech programs offered by IIT’s and ISM. Below we have mentioned the exam dates for JEE Advanced 2018.

    JEE Main 2018 Answer Keys

    The answer keys & images of response sheets (OMR sheets) of Pen & Paper Based examination and answer keys of the Computer-based examination will be displayed on the website www.jeemain.nic.in during 30th April 2018.

    The candidates, who are not satisfied with the captured response, may challenge the JEE Main 2018 Answer Key by filling the online application form and paying a sum of Rs.1000/- per question. The challenge of answer keys will also be accepted online only through the link available on the website www.jeemain.nic.in up to 5.00 PM on 22/04/2018 on payment of Rs.1000/- per question.

    The fee can be paid by credit/debit card or e-challan. The fee once paid is non-refundable. The JAB‟s/CBSE‟s decision on the challenges shall be final and no further communication will be entertained.

    All participating institutes that do not use the centralized Seat Allocation Process will prepare their own ranking based on the performance in JEE(Main)-2018 and other criteria as decided by them.
