April 21, 2017 – Along with the JEE Main 2017 result, Inter-Se Merit list also released by the conducting authority.

April 18, 2017 – According to the experts, the cut off for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2017 is expected to be around 105 this year.

April 10, 2017 – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) successfully conducted JEE Main offline and online mode on April 2, April 8 and April 9. According to the official website, the results for the same will release on April 27.

How to Check the JEE Main Result 2017?

Candidates need to follow these steps to check the results

  • Go through the official link of JEE Main Result (link to check result).
  • Fill the necessary details such as Roll Number and Date of Birth.
  • After filling the details, click on “Submit” button.
  • The result will display on the screen.
  • Take a printout of the result and keep it safe for future use.
  • Candidates are advised to keep at least 2 copies of their result.

The score and rank of Paper-I of JEE Main 2017 for all candidates will be declared on 27th April 2017.This score shall comprise the actual marks obtained in Paper-I of JEE Main 2017 along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE Advanced 2017 provided and subject to other conditions of eligibility being met. The rank shall comprise All India rank and All India category rank. Only the All India Rank (AIR) is used for admissions through Central Seat Allocation Board.

JEE Main 2017 Result

After completing the examination of JEE Main 2017 which was held from 2nd April 2017 (pen & paper) and 8th April to 9th April 2017 (computer based), the consent authority will release the JEE Main Result 2017 for Paper 1 on 27th April 2017 expectedly at 1:00 pm, it will be declared through online mode. Candidates can view and download their results through the official link (link will be provided). Candidates are required to enter their roll number and date of birth to view results. Candidates are suggested to keep extra printouts of the result as it will be required until the admission process get completed. A merit list will be prepared according to the marks scored in the entrance exam and 12th or equivalent exam. After the result declared, the JEE Main Rank Card will be issued containing the All India Rank, State Rank, Category Rank and other details regarding JEE Main.

  • Resolution by marks obtained in Mathematics in JEE (Main) – 2017. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by marks obtained in Physics in the JEE (Main) – 2017. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks. Candidate having a higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank.
  • If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates will be given the same rank.

  • Resolution by marks obtained in Aptitude Test in Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) in JEE (Main) – 2017. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.

JEE  Main 2017 Counselling

JoSAA counselling 2017 will be started right from the 4th week of June 2017 after the announcement of the JEE Advanced result & JEE Main (AIR). JEE Advanced 2017 seat allotment will be started from 19th June 2017 to 18th July 2017. Counselling procedure will be held in 4 steps like Registration, filling & locking choices, seat acceptance & fee payment process. All steps will be done via online mode only. After fee payment, other procedure like document verification and reporting will be done through offline mode.

JEE Advanced 2017 Registration

Candidates who qualify the JEE Main exam are eligible for JEE advanced 2017 (candidates must score 75% marks for Gen/OBC & 65% marks SC/ST/PWD in 12th or equivalent class).The JEE advanced 2017 registration will commence from 28th April 2017. Candidates can register until 2nd May 2017. JEE Advanced is conducted for admission to B.tech/B.E/integrated M.tech programs offered by IIT’s and ISM.   • JEE Advanced 2017 Registration begins: 28th April

JEE Main 2017 Answer Keys

The answer keys &images of response sheets (OMR sheets) of Pen & Paper Based examination and answer keys of Computer based examination will be displayed on the website www.jeemain.nic.in during 18-22 April 2017. The candidates, who are not satisfied with the captured response, may challenge the JEE Main 2017 Answer Key by filling online application form and paying a sum of Rs.1000/- per question

The challenge of answer keys will also be accepted online only through the link available on the website www.jeemain.nic.in up to 5.00 PM on 22/04/2017 on payment of Rs.1000/- per question. The fee can be paid by credit/debit card or e-challan. The fee once paid is non-refundable. The JAB‟s/CBSE‟s decision on the challenges shall be final and no further communication will be entertained. All participating institutes that do not use the centralized Seat Allocation Process will prepare their own ranking based on the performance in JEE(Main)-2017 and other criteria as decided by them.
