JEE Main 2018 Application Form – Hello Folks.!!! Its a good news for all the inspired student who were eagerly waiting to appear for JEE Main 2018 exam, finally the day has come. So brace yourself as the countdown has begun.

JEE Main 2018 Application Form has been started from 1st December 2017 onwards. Where the last of submitting the JEE Main 2018 Application Form will be 1st January 2018.

    Candidates can register and apply below after December 1, 2017. The final date to apply and upload the scanned images for JEE Main is from 1st December 2017 to 1st January 2018.

    Final date to pay the application fee for JEE Main has also been extended; applicants are allowed to pay the fee by credit/debit card until January 2018 and the final date to pay the application fee by e-challan is 2nd January 2018.

    JEE Main 2018 Requirement of Aadhar Card

     

    JEE Main 2018 Registration:

    In order to apply for JEE Main 2018, candidates need to first register. They need to follow steps mentioned in order to apply online:

    Step 1: Candidates should download the information bulletin and read it very carefully to make sure that they satisfy all the eligibility criteria.

    Step 2: Candidates must make sure they keep all the required documents ready before applying online.

    Step 3: Scanned photograph, Signature, and Left-Hand Thumb impression need to be kept ready in JPG format before filling up the JEE Main Application Form.
    Step 4: After getting prepared with all the documents, candidates need to fill the JEE Main Application Form.

    Step 5: After filling up the application form, candidates must upload the scanned images.

    Step 6: After submitting the Application Form, candidates would have to pay the application fee by Credit/Debit Card or by e-challan (which will be issued after submission of JEE Main Application Form)

    Step 7: After submitting the fees, candidates need to download the acknowledgement slip and keep it for future reference.

    JEE Main 2018 Eligibility Criteria

    The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has introduced some new changes in JEE Mains. Following are the JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2018 changes:

    • You must provide Aadhaar card details for filling the application form.
    • If you are an aspirant who is from Meghalaya, J & K or Assam, then you will be excluded from the above provision. You will be asked to enter bank account number, passport number, ration card number or any other valid Govt. identity number to get examination centre in these states only.

    Qualification:

    • Applicants to qualify for admissions in IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs must have obtained a minimum of 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class exam organised by the respective Boards.
    • For reserved category, the minimum qualifying marks are 65% in the 12th class examination.
    • Candidates who have passed the higher secondary examination in 2016 and 2017 are also eligible to apply.
    • Candidates who are appearing currently for 12th class examination are also eligible to apply for JEE Main 2018.
    • Diploma holders are also eligible for JEE Main 2018 but are only eligible for admission to IITs.

    Age:

    • Birth Certificate as mentioned in secondary education board certificate.
    • you must have born on or after 01, October 1993 are eligible for JEE Main 2018.
    • Candidates from SC, ST and PWD category who were born on or after 01, October 1988 are eligible for JEE Main 2018.

    Number of Attempts:

    • Candidates can appear for JEE Advanced Examination a maximum of 2 times in consecutive years.
    • The maximum attempt for JEE Main Examination is 3.

    How to fill JEE Main 2018 Application Form

    The following are the procedure of how to fill the JEE Main 2018 Application Form  after registering in the portal

    • Visit the official website of JEE Main 2018 Registration (link here).
    • Read the instructions carefully and click on Proceed to Apply Online.
    • Authentication Form will get displayed on the screen.
    • Fill the necessary details of Authentication Form and submit it.
    • JEE Main 2018 Application Form will pop up on the screen.
    • Fill the details like personal, exam related, academic, address, guardians, etc.
    • Cross check and verify the details on the application form before submitting.
    • Click on the Upload Scanned Images button.
    • “Browse” and “Final Upload” the scanned images of a photograph and signature of candidate & guardian.
    • Go to the “Pay Examination Fee” option.
    • Pay the application fee through online or offline mode as per your convenience.
    • Payment confirmation page will appear on the screen.
    • Log in again with your Application Number and Password to ensure.
    • Print Acknowledgment Page”.
    • Candidates are advised to preserve the application form for further use.

    Image Uploading Specification

    • All the scanned images of photograph, signature and thumb impression should be in jpg/jpeg format only.
    • Photograph size should be between 4 kb and 40 kb.
    • Signature image size should be between 1 kb and 30 kb.
    • Thumb impression size should be between 1 kb and 30 kb.
    • Photograph dimension: 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height) only.
    • Signature Image dimension: 3.5 cm (length) x 1.5 cm (height) only.
    • Thumb impression image dimension: 3.5 cm (length) x 1.5 cm (height) only.

    It should be clear, get it clicked from professional. Write it in neat handwriting with a Black or Blue pen.

    Fee Payment

    If the examination fee is paid by Credit/Debit Card, the candidates will need to pay an additional processing charge as following:-

    • Credit Card:-1.20% of the examination fee plus the GST as applicable.
    • Debit Card:- 0.75%+GST for examination fee up to Rs.2000 and 1%+GST for examination fee more than Rs.2000.

    Correction in JEE Main 2018 Application Form

    CBSE will make it easy for the candidates to modify the details packed by them while applying online for JEE Main.

    The JEE Main 2018 correction window will be made available from the Last week of January 2018 to 1st week of February 2018.

    Candidates will be able to modify all the details apart from a city for examination and mode of their exam (from computer based on pen & paper based or vice versa).

    JEE Main 2018 candidates may be asked to pay some extra amount (if appropriate which can be paid through credit/debit card or e-challan in Canara Bank/ HDFC Bank/ ICICI Bank/Syndicate Bank from January 2018.

    Documents required to fill JEE Main 2018 Application Form

    Keep the following documents ready before filling the JEE Main 2018 Application Form

    1. Passport size photograph and signature (scanned)
    2. 10th class certificate
    3. 12th class passing documents (certificate)
    4. Aadhaar Card
    5. Bank account number/ Passport number/ Ration card/ Voter ID card number etc.
    6. Debit/Credit card or e-Challan details
    7. Valid email address and Contact number

    Aadhaar Card Requirement in JEE Main 2018

    CBSE made Aadhaar Card a mandatory requirement for JEE Main since last year which is 2017. Even this year, candidates will need it to apply. CBSE will validate the details submitted by the candidates with the UIDAI data and school records.

    The candidates will have to submit the Aadhaar Number while registering for JEE Main 2018.

    Candidates not possessing Aadhaar Card will be required to enrol for it and then submit the Aadhaar Enrollment Number as a substitute. The Enrollment Number will contain 14 digits along with a slash “/”.

    JEE Main Aadhaar Facilitation Center – To assist candidates in getting the Aadhaar Card, CBSE has established various JEE Main 2018 Aadhaar Facilitation Center.

    The candidates can enrol for UIDAI Aadhaar Card. In case the facility to enrol will not be available the candidates will be issued a Registration Number. By entering the number, the candidates will be able to apply.

    JEE Main 2018 Application Fee

    For payment of application fee candidates must use only recommended modes of payment. Below is the fee structure of JEE Main 2018 application fee:

    Candidates can pay fees by using debit card/credit card or HDFC/ Syndicate/ Canara Bank/ ICICI e-challan.

    Resetting JEE Main 2018 Password:

    Following options are accessible to retune password of JEE Main 2018-

    • Using security question & its answer you selected during the form filling
    • Using a verification code sent via text message (SMS) to your registered mobile number
    • Using a retune link sent via Email to your registered email address

    In the application form, candidates will have to provide the following details-

    3. Academic Details
    4. Guardian Details
    5. Mailing Address Details
    6. Password
    7. Security Pin

    After you submit the application form, the generated application number should be mentioned down as candidates would have to use it as their login ID along with the selected password.

    The name in application form should be the same as registered in class XII/qualifying examination. Confirmation page or any other unnecessary documents must not be sent to JEE Main office.
