JEE Main 2018 Wrong Questions- CBSE has conducted the JEE Main 2018 offline exam on 8th April 2018, i.e. Sunday. The exam was conducted from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The JEE Main 2018 offline exam question paper had four sets, i.e. A, B, C, D. We will update you with the type of questions, and difficulty level of the question paper soon. There were wrong questions and options in the JEE Main which confused most of the candidates in 2015 and 2016.
Till now, there are no reports of any mistakes in the JEE Main 2018 offline exam question paper. But as per Times of India, the owner of Sneha Classes Mr.Rajnikant Bondre claimed that there were two wrong questions in the Physics section of the exam, and in Chemistry section one question had two correct answers. Mr. Bondre said that he was surprised to see two questions from the wave optics topic, and no question was asked from ray optics.
In words of Mr. Bondre, “There were two wrong questions in physics and one question had two correct answers in Chemistry. Such things were bound to confuse students and disturb their flow. Surprisingly, no questions were asked from ray optics but two questions were included from wave optics.”
One of the JEE Main 2018 exam taker also claimed that Ques.87 of cation analysis, the color of cation is given wrong as it says white gelantious precipitate. The white gelatinous precipitate is of Zinc and which is soluble in excess of NaOH.
Another aspirant said that “in Physics, Ques.5 of set B must be wrong as the potential was given in the form of ‘r’ and we were not informed anything about it.As radius was taken as ‘a’, so the potential should also be in the form of ‘a’ only”.
One of the JEE Main 2018 aspirant wrote us that, Ques.16 of Series C had two correct options.

CBSE has scheduled the JEE Main 2018 exam for 8th April, 15th April, and 16th April 2018. The exam which was conducted on 8th April 2018 was in offline mode. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) tries to conduct the JEE Main exam without any discrepancy and controversy every year. But in 2015, and 2016 the exam was landed into a controversy and the issue of wrong questions left the aspiring candidates perplexed. JEE Main is conducted for selection of candidates for JEE Advanced and for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFITs.
JEE Main 2018 Wrong Questions -What will CBSE do?
In case there is any discrepancy or controversy regarding the JEE Main 2018 question paper, CBSE my possibly do the following things to compensate for the aspiring candidates:
- Irrespective of whether they attempted the question to choose a wrong answer, CBSE might grant bonus marks per questions to all candidates
- Or, CBSE might delete the wrong question from the question paper, and accordingly calculate the scores of each candidate
JEE Main Wrong Questions- In 2016
The experts of various coaching institutes raised doubts over many questions, in 2016 for JEE Main 2016 paper 1. According to them, there were at least 5 questions in the JEE Main 2016 paper 1 which either had wrong options or were incorrect questions. This lead to an assumption that, either the answers in the JEE Main 2018 official answer key were incorrect, or the questions asked were incorrect. As per the experts of coaching institutes, the students were confused as many questions had multiple answers.
JEE Main Wrong Questions- In 2015
In 2015, various coaching institutes raised doubts on two wrong questions in the JEE Main 2015 question paper, while publishing their answer keys. CBSE accepted the discrepancy and decided to compensate the candidates without hampering their score and all India rank.
