    CBSE has released the answer key for the exam after the conduction of both online and offline JEE Main 2018 exam. The coaching institutes have released the answer keys on the same day exam, i.e. April 8th, 2018. The JEE Main 2018 offline exam was conducted on 8th April 2018, and the JEE Main 2018 online exam was conducted on 15th and 16th April 2018. The JEE Main 2018 answer key consists of all the correct answers to the questions asked in the question paper of the JEE Main entrance exam. The candidates are advised to be more reliable towards the JEE Main 2018 official answer key which will is now released by the Central Board of Secondary Education on 24th April 2018. CBSE has a provision of challenging the official answer key, in case any candidate finds any disagreement with any answer given in the official answer key.

    The CBSE has released the official answer key for JEE Main 2018 exam for all the sets of the question papers from the online and offline exam.  But the coaching institutes will release answer keys for only JEE Main 2018 offline exam. The unofficial answer keys by coaching institutes were released the same day of the exam that is on 8th April 2018.     What is the use of JEE Main 2018 Answer Key?

    Through the answer key, the candidates will be able to compare their responses with the correct answers, and could also calculate their probable scores for the exam. Candidates are also getting access to their OMR Response sheet, candidates can also download their response sheets from the official website of the board. The candidates have now become able to predict where they might get admissions during the counseling and seat allotment session, by checking their probable scores using the JEE Main 2018 answer key. In case, candidates disagree with any answer given in the official answer key they can challenge the JEE Main 2018 answer key.

    How to Challenge the JEE Main 2018 Answer Key?

     After the release of JEE Main 2018 answer key by CBSE, candidates can cross check their answers with the official answer key. In case of any discrepancy or disagreement with the answers released in the official answer key, the candidates can challenge the official answer key released by CBSE. CBSE will release the JEE Main 2018 answer key from 24th April 2018 to 27th April 2018. In order to challenge the official answer key, the candidates will need to fill an application form regarding the challenge, and also pay the requisite fee per question. The fee specified by CBSE for challenging the official answer key is to be paid online. The expert committee of the board will look into the matter of challenges filed and will release its decision for the same. CBSE/ JAB (Joint Admission Board) will give their final decision regarding the challenges filled.

    • To fill the application form for challenging the official answer key, the candidates will need to log into their account through their JEE Main 2018 application number and password
    • Candidates will need to pay the amount of Rs.1,000 per question
    • The fee to be paid will be non-refundable and can be paid by credit/ debit card, PayTM and SBI Buddy

    JEE Main 2018 cut off

    The candidates will require scoring the minimum marks set by the admissions authority of JEE Main, in order to get admissions in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Candidates who will score either equal to or more than the closing rank decided by the authority will be considered eligible for admissions. But, the candidates failing to score the desired marks will not be called for the further admissions process. The shortlisted candidates will be called for seat allotment and counseling process.
