JEE Advanced 2015 Results are out, Satvat Jagwani bags top rank.

The results for IIT JEE Advanced 2015 which is the most prestigious entrance exam for admission into the most coveted technology were announced on Wednesday and according to statistics released by IIT-Bombay which conducted the exams, 26,4456 out of the 1,17,238 candidates who appeared for the said examination made the cut and qualified for admission to Indian Institute of Technology branches and NITs.

Satvat Jagwani tops JEE Advanced 2015 Exam

    According to the results Satvat Jagwani  of Satna Madhya Pradesh appearing from IIT-Kanpur zone  bagged the all-india topper this year by scoring 469 out of 504.

    Candidates from Indore namely Janak Agarwal and Mukesh Pareekh came second and third respectively. Among the Scheduled Castes candidates who appeared Turaka Bhavan bagged top position with an all- India rank of 39, while among the Scheduled Tribes candidates Harsh Meena with a rank of 633 bagged top. Chinmaya Kumar Sahoo from Pune zone scored the highest and topped among the Other Backward Classes-Person with Disabilities (OBC-PwD) category.

    Of the top 10 candidates who cleared , 5 were from IIT-Madras zone, 2 were from IIT-Delhi zone and one each from IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Roorkee and IIT-Bombay zone.

    Based on statistics released by IIT-Bombay, 23,407 male candidates qualified for the exam whereas 3,049 female candidates qualified. Male candidates clearly outnumbered the female qualifying candidates.

    IIT-Bombay zone kept up with the trend and was way ahead in terms of number of successful candidates as compared to other zones and Bharat Khandelwal from this zone secured an All India rank of 5.
