JCECE 2017 Complete Details

JCECE 2017 – Medical students from the state of Jharkhand can also get admission is medical colleges through Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board commonly known as JCECE.This examination is specific for the students of Jharkhand  with a permanent address. The domicile certificate is mandatory for the student appearing the examination. Admission through JCECEB 2017 reserves 85% of the total seats in government medical colleges and 50% seats id private medical colleges. The remaining 15% seats are filled on the basis of AIPMT results. The examination centers are mentioned at the official website. The examination pattern includes Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

JCECE 2017 Exam

There are 150 questions in all divided equally between the three subjects. The questions are multiple choices giving one mark for each correct answer and deducting one forth from the total for every wrong answer. It is a three hour long test.

JCECE 2017 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates willing to appear for the exam must fulfill the following JCECE 2017 Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate willing to give the exam must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Jharkhand state. The candidate must possess a Jharkhand domicile.
  • The candidate must attain 17 years of age on or before 31st Decemberof the year of admission. The candidate must strictly adhere to the age defining guidelines failing which can lead to complete dismissal of the candidate even after clearing the exam.
  • Also candidates must have physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology as the main subjects in class 12 and the aggregate of these must be 50% or more for general category. In addition to this the candidate must have passed all the subjects individually along with English.

JCECE 2017 Application Form

Applicants interested can fill the JCECE 2017 application form online through the link made available on the official website. Candidates are given complete and step by step instructions to fill the form. Candidates can forward their query in case they need any additional assistance.

Candidates have to enter the information required and complete details of the qualification the information described must be authentic and correct. Incorrect information can lead to dismissal of the candidate even after clearing the exam. In addition to this the students have to upload the file including the scanned signature, photograph, name and thumbed impression in a file. The signature and photographs must be clearly scanned before sending.

The size of the photograph and the signature must not be more than 500 KB with dimensions of 3.5 by 4.5. And the dimensions of the signature are 3.5 by 1.5. The amount can be paid through net banking or credit card as per the convenience for the online transaction and through the challan for offline transaction. In order to fill the offline form students can download the application form from the website and after filling the form can send the form to the official address available on the website as well as brouchers.

The JCECE 2017 application form fee is Rs 550/- for engineering and Rs. 600 for Medical. The candidates of reserves are given concessions. They need to pay Rs. 275 for the engineering exam and Rs 375/- for the medical exam. For further assistance students can visit the website.

  • Marking Scheme:Each correct answer would carry 1 mark.
  • Negative Marking:For every wrong answer, ¼ mark would be deducted from the total score. Negative marking would not be considered for no response. Negative marking would be done for multiple answers.
