The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination commonly known as the JCECE 2017 Engineering is an entrance test that’s conducted via the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) for the purpose of shortlisting candidates for admission to its various undergraduate engineering, medical and agricultural programs in the various government and private colleges of Jharkhand. JCECE 2017 Registration
You can make avail of the application form of the JCECE Entrance exam via the official website for the admissions into the various UG courses in the field of engineering, medical and agriculture. Prior to filling the application forms, you will be required to register yourselves on the official website. The application forms are made available only via the online mode and any other mode shall not be entertained.
JCECE 2017 Application Fee
As the applications proceed via the online mode the application fees shall also be remitted online or via the e-challan. The application fees are enlisted below:
The application fee is Rs. 550/- (275/- for SC/ST) for the PCM or PCB group aspirants and Rs. 600/- (325/- for SC/ST) for the PCMB group aspirants. For the students belongs to the SC/ST/PWD categories, the application form fee is Rs. 275/- for the PCM group aspirants and Rs. 375/- for the PCMB group aspirants.
How to Apply for JCECE 2017?
In order to apply for this examination, you will be required to get the self-registration via the board’s official website. In order to do this you will be required to follow the enlisted steps :
Step 1: You will be required to visit the official website of the board.
Step 2: You will then have to find the link for the new registration and open it.
Step 3: You then have to fill in all the mandatory details and submit the same.
Step 4: Now you have to save your application number, password and the login id.
Step 5: Now you will have to re-login with your ID and then fill out the application form carefully with all the valid details.
Step 6: the next thing that you have to do is to submit and upload all the required documents such as the photo, signature and as well as the left thumb impression.
Step 7: Do ensure that the size of the signature, LTI or the photo should’nt be over 500kb each.
Step 8: You now have to remit the application fee via the debit card or via the e-challan.
Step 9: You can now update the fee deposit detail to the application form and then submit.
Step 10: you can now get the print out of the registration slip as well as the confirmation page.
JCECE 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Those of you who are currently seeking for admission into the B.Tech programmes in the engineering colleges of Jharkhand you will have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria.
- The applicants must ensure that they must have passed I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.
- And they must have scored a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
- Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination appearing candidates may also apply but they will have to pass before the date of JCECE 2015 Counselling.
- The applicant must be a citizen of India and permanent or local resident of Jharkhand as per the specified criterion.
- You will have to submit/show permanent or local resident certificate in proper format in original at the time of counselling, issued by competent authority.
- A residential certificate if issued by any other authority will not be considered and your claim will be refused.
- Candidates must possess AADHAR card as it is a MUST certification as an Indian citizen
1).For B.Tech courses & BHMS courses, aspirants of any age can apply to appear for JCECE 2017 as there is no specific age limit.
2). Candidate should be 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the admission year for MBBS & BDS courses.
3). Candidates are requested to go through medical checkup round as only fit candidates are allowed for the admission.
JCECE 2017 Exam Pattern
The JCECE 2017 question paper will be in both English as well as in Hindi and in the case of any ambiguity in the translation of the questions the English version will be treated as final. The question paper will be consisting of multiple choice questions and objective type questions and you will have to darken the correct option in a black ball pen on the Answer OMR Sheet.
The JCECE 2017 exam will be consisting of a total of 50 questions that will carry equally one mark in each section and for every correct answer a mark will be awarded and 0.25 marks will be deducted in case of marking a wrong answer. If you mark more than one option for a question it will be rejected and it wont be evaluated.

JCECE 2017 Exam Pattern for PCB and PCM Groups
The PCM Group: For the JCECE 2017 entrance exam in Engineering, Agriculture and Forestry from PCM Group the competitive examination will be conducted in one stage.
The PCB Group: For the JCECE 2017 entrance in Agriculture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Homeopathy and Ayurved courses from PCB Group the competitive examination will be conducted in one stage. The Competitive Examination would be of the objective type either offline or online. Do note that it is important for you to attend the Examination in all the subjects otherwise such a candidate won’t be kept in the Merit list.
