IIT JAM 2018 Registrations have been extended to 5th September 2017.

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) has declared an official notification about an extension of registration dates of the Joint Admission Test (JAM) 2018.

According to the reports, all of you can now complete the registration procedure by October.

The exam is organized by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) in order to present admission to aspirants in MSc and other post-BSc courses. JAM is organized by participating colleges on a rotational basis. This time IIT Delhi would be conducting the same.

JAM 2018 will be conducted on February 2018 in 2 sessions as the computer-based test (CBT).

IIT JAM 2018 Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification:

The students who are interested in applying must be holding a Bachelors degree with minimum 55% aggregate scores from a well-known university/institute.

How to apply IIT JAM 2018 Application Form

  • Visit the official website, http://jam.iitd.ac.in/
  • Select on relevant link
  • You will have to enter all the necessary information in a prescribed format
  • Click on submission
  • All of you are requested to download or take a printout of the same for future reference

IIT JAM 2018 Exam pattern

  • The period of the examination will be of 3 hrs for all the 7 papers
  • The medium for all the test papers would be English
  • There will be a total of 60 questions carrying 100 marks
  • The complete paper will be separated into three sections, A, B and C and all the sections are compulsory

Division of sections

Section A:

In total, the paper has 30 multiple choice questions (MCQ)

10 questions of one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each

Each MCQ type question has four choices

Section B:

Total 10 multiple select questions (MSQ) carrying 2 marks each

Each MSQ type question is similar to MCQ but with a distinction that there may be one or more than one choices that are correct out of the four given choices

Section C

Total 20 numerical answer type (NAT) questions relating 10 questions of one mark each and 10 questions of two marks each.
