IIT Bombay CEED 2017

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) is all ready for the conduction of the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) 2017. The Common Entrance Examination for Design is being conducted via the IIT Bombay for shortlisting the candidates to secure admissions to the Master of Design (M.Des) course that’s offered via the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur, and also for the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme in Design offered by IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur for the academic session 2017.

IIT Bombay CEED 2017 Paper Pattern:

The paper pattern for the said competitive examination is enlisted below:

The examination will be segregated into two parts namely Part A and Part B.

Part A: This will be a Computer Based test (CBT) and will comprise of three parts namely Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Numerical Ability Test (NAT) and Multiple Selection Questions (MSQ) and the total duration that will be allotted to attempt this section is an hour.

Part B: This section is conducted in order to test the candidates on their designing skills.

IIT Bombay CEED 2017 Eligibility Criteria:

Those candidates who wish to apply for it must ensure that they should have at least one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Design or Interior Design or its equivalent (four-year programme after 10+2).
  • Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT or its equivalent of four-year programme after 10+2).
  • F.A. (four-year professional programme after 10+2).
  • D. Art (five-year programme after Class 10) with one year post qualification professional experience
  • Master’s degree in Arts, Science or Computer Applications (two-year programme after 10+2+3)

The candidates who are interested as well as deemed eligible can apply online via the official website.

IIT Bombay CEED 2017 Application fee:

The candidates under the General and OC category are required to pay a fee of Rs 2,000. Those under the SC, ST, PwD and women candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 1,000.
