HTET 2018 exam dates have been again changed by the authority to 5th & 6th January 2019 for TGT teachers and PGT lecturers respectively due to examinations scheduled by Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC). Earlier the authority had announced that it will take place on 22nd December and 23rd December 2018. Now the wait of the applicants is over for the exam date. Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) is organized every year by Haryana Board of School Education, Haryana for the recruitment of lower primary teacher, upper primary teacher and PGT lecturer in the schools of Haryana. The candidates, who want to become a teacher, eagerly wait for this exam every year. The beagles for HTET 2018 have started blowing as the application form release date is approaching in the beginning of November 2018 with HTET Notification 2018. All the students can also download their admit cards in November 2018 only as per the tentative schedule shared by the officials. HTET 2018 exam will be conducted in 3 levels i.e. Level-1 for recruitment of primary teachers, Level-2 for the recruitment of TGT teachers, and Level-3 for PGT lecturer selection. It is expected that HTET 2018 exam will take place in December 2018.     Official Notification for HTET 2018 Exam

    HTET Application Form 2018

    HTET Application Form 2018 will be made available from the beginning of November 2018 to end of November 2018. To apply for the exam, candidates need to fill and submit the application form for the exam. The application form can be filled and submitted online only. The link at which candidates will be able to apply has been provided below. Only the eligible candidates must apply for the exam. Also, the application form must reach the authorities before the last date. The complete procedure has been explained as follows.

    • First, candidates must open the official site of HTET 2018 (link here)
    • Candidates must look for a link named “Apply online” and click on it.
    • An application form shall open up. Candidates are required to fill in the details as asked in the form in the correct order.
    • Then, the candidates must upload the scanned copies of the required documents which are the photograph and signatures of the candidates in the specified formats.
    • A registration number and a password will be allotted to each candidate. The candidate must note down this number and use it to log into the site.
    • After logging in, the candidates must make the payment of the application fee by the means of an e-challan and can deposit the fee in the Oriental Bank of Commerce, HDFC Bank or the Union Bank of India. The application fee has been given below.

    How to Fill HTET Application Form 2018?

    Filling the application form of HTET 2018 will not bother the aspirants very much as it is just a 3-step process. The candidates need to take care of one thing that the information provided by them should be correct and filled in the specified boxes only.  Steps of registration are as following:

    Step 1: Registration– Find the registration tab on the official website and click it to navigate on the page wherein the HTET registration 2018 initiates.

    Step 2: Personal Details– All the candidates need  to provide their personal details such as name, parents’ name, correspondence & permanent address, date of birth (as per matriculation certificate), email address, mobile no., category, academic qualification (name of boards with roll no, name of college/ university, year of passing each exam, etc.), level they are applying for, exam mode preference, etc.  

    Step 3: Photograph & Signature Uploading- The last step will ask the candidates to upload their recent photograph and signature in a predefined format. The guidelines for uploading the same are as following:

    • Colored recent photograph with a light background
    • Date strip should be visible on the photograph
    • Same photo should be pasted on confirmation page of application form

    It is recommended to the candidates to recheck the details provided in the application form before final submission. Also, after the successful submission, the aspirants need to take the 2-3 printouts of the confirmation page for further reference. 

    HTET Eligibility Criteria 2018

    The eligibility criteria for HTET 2018 are some of the necessary conditions of the exam that need to be satisfied by the candidates to be eligible for the exam. These are set by the organizing authorities of the exam and are very important to be fulfilled. If at any point in the recruitment process, a candidate is found not eligible for the exam, then his/her candidature shall automatically be cancelled without prior notice. So, the candidates must take care of this thing before applying for the exam. The eligibility norms for the HTET 2018 Exam are as follows.

    Nationality: As per the set of eligibility criteria for HTET 2018, the applicants should be the bearer of Indian citizenship. 

    Age Limit: No minimum or maximum age limit is applicable on HTET 2018.

    Academic Qualification: The criteria of educational qualification for different levels have been defined specifically by the conducting body.

    • The candidates should possess Diploma in Elementary Education with at least 50% marks form a recognized educational institution with 10+2 from a recognized board with at least 45% marks for Level 1. The final year appearing candidates of Diploma in Elementary Education can also apply.
    • The B.Ed degree from a recognized institution is mandatory for TGT i.e. level 2 exam.
    • Post Graduation with B.Ed is needed to appear for level 3 exam which is for the post of lecturer.

    Additional Qualification- The candidates must have studied Hindi as a main subject in class X or at Senior Secondary/Graduation/Post-Graduation level. 

    HTET Eligibility Criteria 2018 for Different Levels 

    HTET Eligibility Criteria 2018 for Primary Teachers:

    The aspirant must have passed the 12th class qualifying examination with a minimum passing mark of 50% from a recognised board.

    The candidates who shall be appearing in the final year or diploma course/Bachelor course in special or elementary education are also eligible for this exam.

    Bachelor of Science and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Com with minimum 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed  (Bachelor in Education) ORB. Science with minimum 45% marks and 1-year B.Ed  (Bachelor in Education) OR Senior Secondary (class XII) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.) OR 10+2 with minimum 50% marks and 4 year B.A. or B.Com.Ed ORB.A or B.Com with minimum 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).   

    The candidates applying through B.Sc need to have scored at least 50% marks in three of the below given subjects:

    1. Chemistry 2. Physics 3. Zoology 4. Botany 5. Mathematics

    Honors degree holders in one of the above subjects should have studied other 2 while in 1st or 2nd year.

    B.Ed qualified candidates should have opted for Science as a teaching subject.

    TGT Social Studies

    B.A. or B.Com and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Com with minimum 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed  (Bachelor in Education) ORB.A. or B.Com with minimum 45% marks and 1-year B.Ed  (Bachelor in Education) OR Senior Secondary (class XII) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.) OR 10+2 with minimum 50% marks and 4 year B.A. or B.Com.Ed ORB.A or B.Com with minimum 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).  

    The candidates applying through B.A or B.Com need to have scored at least 50% marks in two of the below given subjects, apart from English.

    B.Ed qualified candidates should have opted for Social Studies as a teaching subject.

    TGT English

    B.A. in English with at least 50% marks as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary ORB.A. with at least 50% marks as well as in English as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed (Bachelor in Education) ORB.A. with at least 45% marks as well as 50% marks in English as an elective subject and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR Senior Secondary (class XII) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.     TGT Mathematics

    Graduate with at least 50% marks in Mathematics as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary ORB.A. or Graduation with at least 50% marks as well as in Mathematics as an elective subject and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) ORB.A. or Graduation with at least 45% marks as well as 50% marks in Mathematics as an elective subject and 1-year ) ORB.     Candidates must possess Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or its equivalent from a state/ central recognized university.

    Graduation with specialization in Home Science with at least 50% marks as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education ORB.A. with at least 50% marks as well as in Home Science as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed ORB.A. with at least 45% marks as well as 50% marks in Home Science as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed OR 10+2 with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.     PGT Computer Science

    Degree holder of BE or B.Tech. Computer Science or Computer Engg. or IT (Regular course) or M.Sc. Computer Science (Regular two year course) or MCA (Regular three year course) with at least 55% marks.     

    PGT Commerce

    Degree holder of M.Com in Accounting/ Financial Accounting/ Cost Accounting with at least 50% marks along with a valid B.Ed Degree.  Candidates with degree of M.Com in applied/Business Economics shall not be eligible.    

    PGT Chemistry

    Degree holder of M.Sc in Chemistry/ Bio-Chemistry with at least 50% marks along with a valid B.Ed Degree.  

    PGT Biology

    Degree holder of M.Sc in Zoology/ Botany/ Bio-Science/ Bio-Chemistry/ Genetics/ Micro-Biology/ Plant Pathology/ Bio-technology/ Life Science/ Molecular Bio with at least 50% marks along with a valid B.Ed Degree.   

    HTET Exam Pattern 2018

    HTET Admit Card 2018

    The admit card of HTET 2018 will be provided online on the official website 2 weeks prior to the examination. There are easy steps to download the admit card. The candidates need to take 2-3 printouts of the admit card for further reference. In case, they find any discrepancy in terms of personal details or exam mode, they need to immediately contact the official body.  Carrying admit card with one of the valid photo ID proofs is mandatory to access entry to examination hall.

    HTET Cut Off 2018

    After the commencement of result, the official body will release the cutoff of HTET 2018, signifying the names of the candidates who will qualify for the interview. Cutoff can be defined as the minimum marks criteria that make an aspirant eligible for the further rounds. The candidates need to score at least equal to or more than the cutoff marks of HTET 2018 to see their names in the list of the candidates shortlisted for the interview.
