WBJEE 2020- West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board has started the online mode application process of WBJEE 2020 exam. Along with starting the application form, WBJEEB has released the dates of important events of WBJEE 2020. The exam will be held on 2 February 2020. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is a state-level exam to be conducted by WBJEEB (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board) in offline mode (OMR Based). Every year, WBJEEB conducts the WBJEE exam to offer admissions to the aspiring candidates into various undergraduate courses offered at different government colleges, self-financed institutions, and state universities located in West Bengal state. Aspirants qualifying the WBJEE 2020 exam will be eligible for admissions into their preferred Architecture, Engineering, and Pharmacy courses as offered by the participating institutes. Based on last year’s official brochure, we have provided the dates and admission detail such as eligibility criteria, the application process, selection process and more on this page. In 2019, WBJEEB has conducted the WBJEE exam on 26 May 2019.     WBJEE 2020 Application Form

    The exam conducting authority has released the application forms for WBJEE 2020 exam on 18 October 2019. The WBJEE Application Form 2020 is made available in online mode on the official website of the board. The candidates will have to fill the application forms for the exam in online mode on the official website of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board or on our separate page for the WBJEE application form 2020 as well. Candidates are advised to fill and submit the application forms before the last date of submission. The application received after the last date of submission of forms will not be considered valid. Along with the educational and personal details candidates will also need to upload their scanned images of photograph and signature. The application process will not be considered complete until the confirmation page is generated at the end of the application filling process. The candidates are suggested to go through the admission brochure before starting filling the online application form. The candidates going to fill up the online application form of WBJEE 2020 need to keep the following points in their mind:

    • The candidates can fill up the application form from 18 October 2019.
    • The application form will be made available only in online mode on the official website of WBJEEB as well as on our separate page for WBJEE Application Form 2020.
    • The candidates can fill up the application form, make payment of the application fee and download the confirmation page latest by 16 November 2019.
    • The details filled in the online application form should be correct because the candidature can be canceled at any point of time if the information provided in the application form found to be incorrect or false.
    • The candidates also have to upload the scanned copy of their recent passport size photo.

    WBJEE 2020 Application Fee

    The candidates willing to apply for the WBJEE 2020 will need to pay Rs. 700 (500 for SC/ST/OBC- A/OBC-B) and bank’s service charges as the application fee. The application fee can be paid through online mode or candidates can also pay the application fee in offline mode by creating e-challan through Allahabad bank.

    WBJEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria

    All the aspiring candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria for the exam as prescribed by the boards before applying for the exam. The WBJEE Eligibility Criteria 2020 will be stated by the board in the official information brochure for the exam. The candidates falling under the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the board will be only considered eligible for admissions. The board has different eligibility parameters for both Pharmacy and Engineering courses.

    WBJEE 2020 Exam Pattern

    The candidates going to appear in the WBJEE exam in 2020 will have to take up the WBJEE exam by following the exam pattern as determined by the WBJEEB. The candidates must be familiar with the exam pattern of the WBJEE 2020 so that they can perform well in the exam and score good marks. The WBJEE exam pattern 2020 is yet to be prescribed by the exam conducting authority. Below here you can check the representation of the expected exam pattern for WBJEE 2020 exam:

    • Mode of Exam: WBJEE 2020 exam would be conducted in offline mode.
    • Type of Questions: The type of question in the exam would objective type multiple choice questions.
    • Sections in the exam: There will be a total of 2 sections Paper-I (Mathematics) and Paper-II (Physics & Chemistry)
    • Total Marks: WBJEE papers will carry a total 200 marks.
    • Number of Questions: Physics & Chemistry – 30 Questions in Category 1, 5 Questions each in Category 2 and 3. Mathematics – 50 Questions in Category 1, 15 Questions in Category 2 and 10 Questions in Category 3.
    • Marking Scheme: Category I – Each correct answer carries 1 mark, Category II and III – Each correct response carries 2 marks
    • Negative Marking: For each incorrect answer in Category I and II, 1/4th mark will be deducted. There is no negative marking for the wrong answer in Category III

    WBJEE 2020 Exam Syllabus

    The candidates must be well acquainted with the syllabus of the WBJEE 2020 exam to boost their preparations well. The board will release the WBJEE Exam Syllabus 2020 along with the release of the official information brochure. The questions in the exam will be based on Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects. The questions will be based on the 11th standard and 12th standard syllabus of the subjects. Candidates are advised to include other books in their preparations as well, along with the NCERT for all three subjects.

    WBJEE 2019 Exam Analysis

    In order to prepare for the exam in a particular way and perform well in the exam, the candidates need to check the WBJEE exam analysis. We have analyzed the WBJEE exam based on the last couple of year’s WBJEE exam. As per feedback from the students who appeared in the WBJEE exam, Mathematics paper was difficult compared to previous years. In last year’s WBJEE exam, of the 3 sections, section C was the easiest and followed by Sections A and B. Mathematics was the toughest subject and physics & chemistry were of moderate difficulty level. In Mathematics, Kinematics found to be a bit tricky.     WBJEE 2020 Admit Card

    The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board will release the admit cards for WBJEE 2020 exam on 27 January 2020. The WBJEE Admit Card 2020 will be released in online mode on the official website of the board. No candidate will be allowed inside the examination hall without their admit cards for the exam. The candidates appearing for the exam will require to carry one id proof, one photograph, and their admit cards to the exam venue. Candidates failing to present any of it on the day of exam will not be allowed by the exam conducting authority to sit in the exam.

    WBJEE 2020 Answer Key

    After the successful conduct of the exam, the exam conducting authority will release an official answer key. The WBJEE Answer Key 2020 will consist of all the correct answers for the questions asked in the WBJEE 2020 exam. With the help of this answer key, the candidates can evaluate their performance, calculate and estimate their probable marks for the exam. There is also a provision of challenging the official answer key if a candidate is not satisfied with any of the answer provided in the answer key. The candidates can challenge the official answer by paying Rs.500 online through the answer key challenge portal on the official website of the board. The board will release the final answer key after the evaluation of all the challenges on the official website along with the release of the OMR answer sheet.

    WBJEE 2020 Result

    The result for the WBJEE 2020 will be declared on 20 June 2020. The exam will be conducted by the board on 19 April 2020  tentatively. The candidates will be able to check and download their WBJEE result 2020 online on the official website of the board. Along with the result, candidates will also have access to their rank cards. The candidates will be able to download their rank cards till the last date of admissions and e-counseling.     WBJEE 2020 Cutoff

    WBJEEB, the examination conducting body, will release Cutoff for admission to the UG level program offered at participating institutes. WBJEE 2020 Cutoff will carry the minimum marks for admission. WBJEEB will prepare WBJEE 2020 Cutoff on the basis of a few parameters such as the performance of the candidates in the entrance exam, previous year’s cutoff trend, availability of seats at participating institutes. Candidates appearing in both the papers of WBJEE 2020 will secure both GMR and PMR if they obtain marks equal and above the WBJEE cut off, as decided by the board. WBJEEb will prepare and announce cutoff after the declaration of WBJEE result 2020. The candidates should also note that each participating college of WBJEE will release separate cutoff lists for different courses.     WBJEE 2020 Counselling

    The candidates qualifying the WBJEE 2020 exam will be called for the e-counseling process. The candidates appearing for the WBJEE counselling 2020 process will be then allotted seats on the basis of ranks secured by them and preference of their course they want to get admissions in. 10% of the seats during the counseling process will be filled through the ranks secured by a candidate in JEE Main 2020. After document verification is done, the candidates will be allotted seats and admission process will be done.

    WBJEE 2020 Fee Structure

    The examination conducting body that is WBJEEB has not announced the fee structure for 2020-20 admission sessions yet. However, we have provided here last year’s fee structure for admission to Under Graduate Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture Courses in the self-financing Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture colleges in the state for the academic year 2018-19. The candidates who are selected for admission will have to pay the admission fee as determined by the conducting body. The candidates can check the detailed fee structure given in the table below:

    Besides above-prescribed Tuition Fees, the Self-financing Colleges may also charge the following fees from the students going to take admission in the academic session 2020-20:

    • Library -cum- Book- Bank Fee under Rs. 6,000.00 for the entire course period
    • Students Welfare, Sports, Games Fee under Rs. I,000’00 annually
    • A reasonable amount as Refundable Caution Money
    • Fees charged by the University for Welfare of students and Development
    • Other usual University Fees like Registration Fee, Examination Fee, etc

    WBJEE FAQs 2020

    Ques. What will happen if no correct image of photograph and signature is uploaded during the application process?

    Ans. If a candidate fails to upload a correct image of his signature and photograph the candidate will get a chance to re-load his images. In case he is unable to re-load the correct images, the board will not issue admit card in such case.

    Ques. I don’t want to appear for the exam. Can I get my application fee refunded?

    Ans. No, the fee won’t be refunded to any of the candidates. The application fee for WBJEE 2020 exam in non-refundable.

    Ques. Can I correct my application form in case of any error made during the filling process?

    Ans. Yes, the candidates will be able to rectify their application forms. The correction window will be opened for the candidates after the last date of submission of the application process.

    Ques. Can I change my choice of the examination center as filled in the application form?

    Ans. No, you won’t be able to change your choice of examination zone.

    Ques. What percentage of seats are reserved by the board for JEE Main 2020 candidates?
