PDPU B.Tech Admission 2019- PDPU is the abbreviation of the Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University is one of reputed universities of India. It is located in the Raisan Village in the city of Gandhinagar, Gujarat. PDPU has 4 schools which are- School of Liberal Studies, School of Petroleum Management, School of Technology, and School of Petroleum Technology. PDPU offers Under Graduate courses, Post Graduate courses and Doctorate level courses in the filed of Engineering, Management and Humanities. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) is one of the major courses offered by the Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University. PDPU annually conducts the Institute level admission procedure. PDPU B.Tech Admission 2019 is tentatively scheduled to start in the 3rd week of April, 2019. The PDPU B.Tech admission 2019 consists of the Registration process, followed by the application form submission and the submission of the 10+2 marks. After the submission of the application form and the 10+2 marks, the provisional Merit List of all the applying candidates will be created. The next step of the PDPU B.Tech Admission 2019 will be the counselling which will be conducted on the basis of the Merit list. PDPU B.Tech Admission 2019: Seats Availability

The B.Tech 2019 seats will be allotted under the three categories which are- seat allotment through GUJCET entrance exam, seat allotment through JEE Main and the seats allotment for the NRI candidates. The following are the details about the seat allotment under these three methods of seat allotment:

  • GUJCET 2019 based Seat Allotment:

    Out of the total available seat for the B.Tech 2019, 50% of the seats will be allotted on the basis of the GUJCET 2019 entrance exam. All the candidates who will apply under this category will be allotted B.Tech 2019 seats on the basis of the merit list of the GUJCET 2019. All the candidates who will be applying through this category will require attending the GUJCET 2019 counselling. During the counseling for the GUJCET 2019 the candidates will require to choose the PDPU via the Gujarat Quota.

    • All India Seats

    Around 35 % percentage of the seats will be reserved for the candidates from all over India. Candidates can get admission under this category after appearing in the JEE Mains 2019. The All India Seats will be allotted on the basis of the All India Ranks of the JEE Main 2019 entrance exam. Candidates claiming seats under this category will have to get themselves registered for the PDPU B.Tech Admission 2019.

    • NRI based seat allotment

    15 % of seats will be kept for NRI (Non Residential Indians). All the NRI or NRI sponsored candidates can apply for these seats, if they meet the eligibility criteria set by the PDPU conducting body.

    There will be around 800 seats for the B.Tech course in the Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University.

    Procedure of PDPU B.Tech Admission 2019

    Registration for the PDPU B.Tech Admission 2019

    The admission for the PDPU B.Tech 2019 will commence with the registration process. The PDPU B.Tech registration 2019 will begin sometime in the 3rd week of April, 2019. For registering themselves, the candidates must visit the official website of PDPU. On the Home page of the PDPU website, there will be a registration section. All the new candidates are requested to fill all the field and then click on the “Register” button to get registered. Once the candidates will complete the registration process, their login credential will be generated. All the candidates must use these login credentials for login into the website of the PDPU.

    PDPU B.Tech Application Form 2019

    After getting registered for the PDPU B.Tech 2019, the candidates applying for the PDPU B.Tech 2019 will have to Login to the official website. Once the candidates will sign in to their account, they will be able to view the application form. Once the application form of the candidates will be opened, the candidates will require filling up the application form by giving correct information. Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Sex, Caste and Category, Nation, Permanent Address and the Correspondence Address are the required personal information that is required to be filled. The qualification details which must be filled by the candidates are Course applied for, and the marks, Year of passing and the Board from which HSLC and other qualifications have been attained are the main qualification related details that must be filled by the candidate in the application form. After entering all the above-mentioned details in the fields of the application form, the candidates must click on the “submit” button to move to the next step of application form submission procedure.

    Documents

    Once the candidate will complete the application form filling, they will require uploading their photograph, scanned copy of their signature and all the other documents’ scanned copies that will be required by the conducting body of the PDPU. The document must meet the prescribed size requirement else the upload of the documents will get hampered.

    Application Fee

    The application form submission will finish with payment of the application fee. The prescribed fee for the candidates, who passed the 12th qualifying exam from a school outside the state of Gujarat, is Rs. 500. Whereas all the candidates who passed the 12th qualifying exam from school within the state of Gujarat will have to pay as amount of Rs. 350 as the application fee. Candidates will be able to pay their application fee through the use of their Debit card/ Credit Card or through the use of the Net Banking.

    PDPU B.Tech Admission 2019: Fee Structure

    The following table shows the fee structure of the PDPU B.Tech 2019. The candidates, who will get selected for the B.Tech program from Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU), will have to pay the following amount of fee for being able to pursue B.Tech:

    PDPU B.Tech Admission 2019: Reservation Criteria

    The following are the reservation criteria set for the PDPU B.Tech 2019. Candidates must read this section to know the reservation criteria in order to deduce whether they are eligible for getting the reservation or not. The following table state the reservation criteria set for various reserved groups of candidates.

    According to the Reservation Criteria, there will be a reservation for the Scheduled Caste candidates, which will be around 15%. Scheduled Tribe candidates will get a reservation of 7.5% seats out of the total B.Tech 2019 course seats. The physically challenged candidates will be given a seat reservation of 3%. Apart from all this, the girl candidates will be given “Girls Variable Supernumerary Seats (GVSS)” reservation. According to this “Girls Variable Supernumerary Seats (GVSS)” reservation, seats will be added if required in order to assure that at least 10% seats are given the female candidates who will be applying for the PDPU B.Tech 2019 under the All Indian seats and NRI category in each branch.

    PDPU B.Tech Merit List 2019

    Once the candidates will successfully submit their application form, the merit list for the PDPU B.Tech admission 2019 will be created sometime in the 2nd week of June, 2019. The merit list will contain the name of candidates according to their All India rank in the JEE Main 2019, in the decreasing order. The merit list for the PDPU B.Tech 2019 will be released through online mode only, i.e., by publishing it in the official website of PDPU. All the candidates who will mange to make it to the Merit List will be called for the counselling. The counselling letter will be downloadable from the official website of PDPU. Students are required to print the counselling letter and carry it to the counselling hall when the counselling will be conducted.

    PDPU B.Tech Counseling 2019

    After the issue of the counselling letter, the candidates will have to report to their counselling center according to the given time and date for the counselling session that would be mentioned in the counselling letter. The counselling for the PDPU B.Tech Admission 2019 will be start sometime in the 2nd week of June, 2019. Before the counselling, all the candidates will have to undergo through the registration process. After the registration, the candidates will have to produce their original document of verification.

    All the candidates will have to bring the 10+2 Mark sheet and certificate, JEE Main 2019 Admit card & scorecard, caste certificate and every other required important documents for verification. If all the produced documents of the candidates will be original then the candidates will have to do the choice filling of the Course and the colleges. After this the candidates will be allotted seats according to the Merit List created. Once the candidates will pay the admission fee after getting selected for the admission, they will be issued the provisional admission letter.
