MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2019 – MHT CET is the short form of Maharashtra State and Health Common Entrance Test. It is a common entrance test that is conducted by the Maharashtra State and Health (MHT). MHT CET is a state level entrance exam that is conducted yearly for selecting candidates for various courses offered by the colleges and institutes in the state of Maharashtra. The next Maharashtra State and Health CET would be conducted in 2019. MHT CET 2019 is conducted under the supervision of Directorate of Technical Education, Department of the Maharashtra Government. MHT CET 2019 is held to provide candidates with admission Engineering, Pharmacy and D-Pharma courses. MHT CET 2019 would offer admission to candidates to provide them with opportunity to study in the best government and private colleges or institutes in the state of Maharashtra. MHT CET 2019 will not consider NEET scores of the candidates to give them the chance to pursue MHT CET entrance exam. MHT CET is conducted offline using Pen and Paper based method. MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2019
MHT CET 2019 requires the candidate to fulfill the following Eligibility Criteria for being eligible to appear for the MHT CET 2019 state level entrance exam. The cabdidates are requested to check whether they meet the MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2019 or not:
All the candidates of Indian Nationality are eligible to appear for MHT CET 2019. Candidates who are of Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Non-Resident Indian (NRI) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are not eligible to give the MHT CET 2019.
The MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2019 states that the candidate don’t have any specified age limit for applying for MHT CET 2019 Entrance Exam. Therefore, there is no specified age limit stated for the applying candidates, and candidates who have passed their 10+2 quite a long time ago are also eligible to apply for MHT CET 2019.
The candidates should have English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, (which has Botany and Zoology) subjects in their 10+2 in order to be eligible to pursue Medical exam under MHT CET 2019 entrance exam. The candidates are also required to be 10+2 passed or should have done an equivalent course from a recognized board.
If a student wants to pursue an Engineering & Technology course after passing MHT CET 2019 must have English, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics in their class 10+2. He/she is also required to 10+2 passed from a recognized board.
All the candidates who are currently appearing for their qualifying exam of 10+2 standard are also eligible for giving the Maharashtra State and Health Common Entrance Test 2019.
MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2019 For Reserved Categories
Every time MHT Common Entrance Test reserves some seats for the reserved group of people in order to give them some benefits. This section provides all the reservation details regarding the Eligibility Criteria of MHT CET 2019 on the basis of categories:
- Maharashtra State Candidates
All the candidates who come from the state of Maharashtra are eligible to give the MHT CET 2019. Maharashtra state candidates are required to be 12th passed from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects and one out of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical and Vocational subjects as a secondary subject. MAHARASHTRA state candidates must have 50% marks for general candidates and the reserved category (SC, ST, OBC and Disabled) candidates should secure 45% marks to appear for MHT CET 2019.
- All India Candidates (AI)
If a Candidate belongs to AI category, then he/she needs to pass the Diploma in Engineering and Technology with a minimum of 50 % marks if the candidate is from General category. If the candidate from SC, ST, OBC or Persons with Disability and belongs to the Maharashtra State then he/she must secure at the least 45% aggregate marks.
- Jammu & Kashmir Migrant Candidates
Those candidates who are Jammu and Kashmir Migrants are required to be B.Sc. passed from a recognized university that is defined under UGC and must pass with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, if they belong to the General category. The candidates who belong to the backward classes/Person with disability are required to get at least 45% aggregate mark, if they belong to state of Maharashtra. The candidates must also be XII class passed with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
- Children of NRI, OCI, PIO and Indian workers in Gulf Countries (CWIGC), Foreign National (FN) Candidates
The candidates who belong to CIWGC or FN candidates should be HSC passed or equivalent exam passed with Physics and Mathematics as his/her mandatory subjects and one out of- Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical and Vocational subjects as his/her secondary subject. The CWIFC and FN candidates must pass HSC with at least 50% marks in the above-mentioned subjects, all taken together.
