JoSAA 2019

JoSAA 2019- JoSAA is an abbreviated form of Joint Seat Allocation Authority. This authority or agency was established by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). JoSAA 2019 will be organized in order to manage and regulate admission to 92 tertiary institutes. The candidates are required to appear entrance exams online and throughJoSAA 2019, they will be allocated to different institutes. This counseling will be conducted by the India Government. The candidates through JoSAA 2019 can apply for admission to various courses of IITs, NITs, ISM, NSITs and GFTI (Government Funded Technical Institutes). These are the participating institutes which will conduct JoSAA 2019. Only those candidates will get chance for admission who deserve i.e. who will score good marks in entrance exams. The registration will start from Second Week of June 2019. JoSSA is the authority who will conduct the counseling session of JEE Main 2019. The candidates who will qualify JEE Main are eligible for admissions into 31, NITs, 23 IIITs and 23 GFTIs whereas the students who will clear JEE Advanced are eligible for admission into the all above-mentioned institutes including 23 IITs. Joint Seat Allocation Authority 2019 counseling will be organized after the declaration of JEE Main (AIR) and JEE Advanced result. The counseling may take place in the month of July. For counseling, only those students will be asked to arrive who will score good marks in JEE Main 2019 merit list.

    Eligibility Criteria for JoSAA 2019

    JoSAA authority has set up some conditions according to which the interested candidate will be selected for JoSAA 2019. The candidates must meet those conditions in order to be eligible for getting the seats to different participating institutes.

    • A candidate must be an Indian citizen.
    • A candidate will have to qualify JEE Advanced 2019 for getting admission to IITs, JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 (B.E / B. Tech), for NITs, IIEST, IIITs and other GFTIs, JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 (B. Arch/B.Planning) for NITs, IIITs &GFTIs.

    JoSAA 2019 Registration and Choice Filling

    The candidates have to check the eligibility criteria of JoSAA 2019 before applying for seat registration. After they are set according to the eligibility criteria, then they have to go for registration. After the registration is done, then it’s the time for the candidate to fill in their choice of college and course for admissions. The admissions will be provided according to the candidate’s merit and preferences. The candidate can follow the given points below in order to register and fill choices for courses and institutes.

    Registration Process for JoSAA 2019

    In order to register, a candidate has to use his/ her JEE Main or JEE Advanced 2019 roll number and password. With these roll number and password, the candidates can log in to the account of JoSAA 2019 registration. After the registration is done, the candidate’s personal details and other information will be restored for the seat allocation registration process. The applicants can do necessary editing if required. After the evaluation of the information, now it is the time for the choice filling.

    Preferences of institute and courses will be done according to the candidate’s choice and merit. A list of available choices of institutes and courses will be displayed to the candidate. The students will have to choose according to their qualification, eligibility, and merit. After the course and institute have been chosen by the candidates, then they can click on “Arrange Filled Choices” Before submitting, the aspirants can modify their preferences. Now the candidates can lock their selected choices and take print out for future references.

    JoSAA 2019 Mock Allotment

    The JoSAA 2019 1st round of mock allotment will take place the on Third week of June 2019. This is somehow will be regulated when the registration process will be going on. Through the mock allotment, the candidates will get an idea of which institute he/she will be allotted to. Based on the mock allotment result, the candidate can do their re-choices. Their allotment to colleges and institutes which they have wished for will also depend on 2nd mock allotment result which is scheduled to be released in the Third week of June 2019.

    JoSAA 2019 Rank List

    As soon as the result of JEE Advanced 2019 and JEE Main 2019 are announced, a rank list will be prepared. There will be different rank lists as per the categories of the candidate. The candidates whose names will be there in the rank list of JoSAA 2019 will eligible to register for a counseling session. This rank list depends on the merit scored by the candidate in JEE 2019 Main and Advance.

    Counseling for JoSAA 2019

    There will be counseling session after the merit list is declared. The candidates need to register first for JoSAA 2019. After the registration is done, the candidates have to fill their choice of institute and course according to their preference. After the candidate selects the institute and course, two rounds of mock allotment will be announced. But at fist the candidates have to be eligible according to the conditions set by the authority of JoSAA 2019. Allotments of the seats are based on the merit and his/her selected preferences. The candidate can download their allotment letter after the allotment of seats is declared online.  They have to pay the seat acceptance fees.
