JKCET Eligibility Criteria 2019- JKCET stands for Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test. It is a state level entrance exam that is held by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JK BOPEE) once in a year. The JKCET is conducted with the aim to give eligible candidates admission in one of the various of reputed and renowned colleges and institutes of Jammu and Kashmir. JKCET 2019 can provide candidates with admission in Engineering (B.E./B. Tech), Architecture (B. Arch) and Medical courses. JKCET considers the NEET Under Graduate marks as the basis, for selecting candidates and to provide them admission in medical courses. The next JKCET entrance exam would be held sometime in the Month of April 2019. The JKCET Application Form 2019 would be made available by the First Week of February 2019. JKCET Eligibility Criteria 2019

The candidates those fulfill the requirements of eligibility as prescribed by the BOPEE will be considered for admission.

  • Nationality:

    The Candidate applying for JKCET 2019 should be an Indian Citizen.

    • State:

    The Candidate must be a permanent resident of the state of Jammu & Kashmir.

    • Age:

    The candidate must be at least 17 years old as on 31st December 2019 in order to be eligible for giving the JKCET Entrance test. On the other hand, there is no maximum age limit of a candidate for applying for JKCET 2019.

    • Qualification:

    The JKCET Eligibility Criteria requires that the candidate must be 10+2, i.e., 12th passed from a recognized Board or University. If a candidate has passed any other course, which is considered to be at par with the 12th exam, then he/she would also be considered eligible for JKCET 2019.

    • Marks Requirement:

    The Candidates applying for JKCET 2019 are required to pass their 12th exam with at least 50 percent marks in the qualifying exam.

    • Subjects:

    PHYSICS, Chemistry, Mathematics and English are the required primary subjects for a Candidate to satisfy the JKCET Eligibility Criteria 2019.

    • Appearing Candidates:

    Candidates who have recently appeared for their 10+2 exam would also be considered eligible for applying for JKCET, according to JKCET Eligibility Criteria 2019.

    JKCET Seat Reservation

    The JKCET Eligibility Criteria 2019 reserves the following number of seats for the following category of candidates:

    • The reservation of the seat for Scheduled caste (SC) candidates is 8 percent.
    • The seats reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates is 11 percent.
    • The seats which would be received for the Children of the Defense Personnel is 3 percent.
    • The General category candidates would get a reservation of 50 percent.
    • Other Backward Class (OBC) would be provided a reservation of 25 percent of the total seats.
    • At last, the candidate applying under the Sports Quota is 2 percent.

    All the candidates belonging to the SC, ST and OBC CATEGORY would be given a relaxation of 10 percent in the JKCET, according to the JKCET Eligibility Criteria 2019.
