JEE Main Notification 2019 has been released by the exam conducting body that is National Testing Agency (NTA) on its official website in the month of July 2018. JEE Main Exam is established as India’s largest engineering entrance exam which was formerly conducted by the central board of school examination (CBSE) but, as per the decision made by MHRD, from the year 2019 onward, National Testing Agency (NTA) will be the official body to conduct JEE Main exam. Recently, NTA has released JEE Main Notification 2019 regard conducting JEE Main exam. JEE Main exam will be now conducted twice a year from the year 2019 onward. According to the JEE Main Notification 2019 released by NTA, first JEE Main 2019 exam would be conducted from 6 January to 20 January 2019 and 2nd JEE Main exam will be conducted tentatively from 7 April to 21 April 2019 in online mode only. The online application form will be filled for JEE Main January exam from 1 September to 30 September. Other important dates related to major events of JEE Main exam is yet to be announced. We will update the other important dates as soon as it gets announced in JEE Main Notification 2019.

The aspirants, who want to study engineering in IITs, will have to first qualify JEE Main 2019 and then JEE Advanced 2019. Only the first 2,40,000 JEE Main qualified candidates will be given the chance to appear in JEE Advanced 2019. All the candidates need to ensure that they are updated with the knowledge of the JEE Main examination that is supposed to be held twice in 2019. There will be guidelines to deal with and you will have to be updated about the various dates of applying for the examination successfully.     Latest UpdateThe National Testing Agency has released a notification which says Aadhaar Number is not mandatory to fill up the online application form of JEE Main 2019. The candidates can enter any valid government identity number while filling up the online application form of JEE Main 2019.

    As per the latest JEE Main Notification 2019 released by the national testing agency (NTA) on its website, the following tentative dates have been notified:

    Eligibility Criteria:

    There are certain eligibility criteria to meet when it is about the JEE Main Notification 2019. Following are the eligibility criteria that people must necessarily meet no matter what:

    Age Limit – For appearing in the JEE (Main) examination there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed XII examination in 2017, 2018 or appearing in 2019 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) examination – 2019. The candidates should satisfy themselves about the eligibility of age limit requirements of the Institutes in which he/she is desirous of taking admission.

    Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination (QE) – Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2017 or 2018; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2019 are eligible to appear in both January 2019 and April 2019 JEE Main 2019 Examination. Candidates who passed Class 12th/ Qualifying examination 2016 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2020 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE Main 2019.

    Educational Qualification Criteria:

    • The student must have had passed the 10+2 or any of the equivalent exams passed in the year of 2017 or 2018.
    • The students who are appearing for the 12+ exams in the year 2019 can also apply for the exams.
    • The students who have a Diploma can also apply but only if they want an admission in the IITs. These candidates will also have to apply for the JEE Advanced exams necessarily.
    New Changes:

    There are new changes that have been implemented in the JEE Main Notification 2019:

    • JEE Main exam will be conducted twice a year from the year 2019 onward.
    • NTA will conduct JEE Main exam in online mode only.
    • Verification of the 12th class roll number is not necessary.
    • In case of online examinations, the slots can be booked.
    • Only the top 2,24,000 qualified students of JEE Main will be allowed to appear for the JEE Advanced.
