JEE Main Notification 2020– NTA has been released an official statement on 20 August 2019 on its official website on 20 August 2019. The online mode application process for the first session of JEE Main 2020 exam will start from 2 September 2019. JEE Main Exam is established as India’s largest engineering entrance exam which was formerly conducted by the central board of school examination (CBSE) but, as per the decision made by MHRD, from the year 2020 onward, National Testing Agency (NTA) will be the official body to conduct JEE Main exam. Last year, NTA had released JEE Main Notification 2020 regard conducting JEE Main exam. JEE Main exam is now conducted twice a year from the year 2019. According to last year’s JEE Main Notification, first JEE Main 2020 exam would be conducted in the 2nd week of January 2020 and 2nd JEE Main exam will be conducted from in the 2nd week of April 2020 in online mode only. The online application form will be filled for JEE Main January exam from 1 September to 30 September. Other important dates related to major events of JEE Main exam is yet to be announced. The aspirants, who want to study engineering in IITs, will have to first qualify JEE Main 2020 and then JEE Advanced 2020. Only the first 2,40,000 JEE Main qualified candidates will be given the chance to appear in JEE Advanced 2020. All the candidates need to ensure that they are updated with the knowledge of the JEE Main examination that is supposed to be held twice in 2020. There are certain eligibility criteria to meet when it is about the JEE Main Notification 2020. Following are the eligibility criteria that people must necessarily meet no matter what:
Age Limit – For appearing in the JEE (Main) examination there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed XII examination in 2018, 2019 or appearing in 2020 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) examination – 2020. The candidates should satisfy themselves about the eligibility of age limit requirements of the Institutes in which he/she is desirous of taking admission.
Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination (QE) – Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2018 or 2019; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2020 are eligible to appear in both January 2020 and April 2020 JEE Main 2020 Examination. Candidates who passed Class 12th/ Qualifying examination 2016 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2020 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE Main 2020.
Educational Qualification Criteria:
- The student must have had passed the 10+2 or any of the equivalent exams passed in the year 2018 or 2019.
- The students who are appearing for the 12+ exams in the year 2020 can also apply for the exams.
- The students who have a Diploma can also apply but only if they want admission in the IITs. These candidates will also have to apply for the JEE Advanced exams necessarily.
New Changes introduced in 2019:
There are new changes that have been implemented in the JEE Main Notification 2019:
- JEE Main exam will be conducted twice a year from the year 2019 onward.
- NTA will conduct JEE Main exam in online mode only.
- Verification of the 12th class roll number is not necessary.
- In case of online examinations, the slots can be booked.
- Aadhar Card is not mandatory while application process.
- Only the top 2,24,000 qualified students of JEE Main will be allowed to appear for the JEE Advanced.
