JEE Main January 2019 Eligibility Criteria – Aspirants seeking admissions to various B. tech or B. Arch programs through their scores in JEE Main January 2019 exam must go through the JEE Main January 2019 Eligibility Criteria thoroughly.     The candidates who want to appear into JEE Main 2019 exam to be held in January month need to know the JEE Main January 2019 Eligibility Criteria before proceeding to fill up the online application form. The candidates who will meet the eligibility criteria given here will only be able to fill the online JEE Main January Application Form 2019. To be eligible for JEE Main January 2019 exam, the candidates have to fulfill the JEE Main January Eligibility Criteria parameters like Date of birth, Qualifying exam i.e. class 12 or equivalent exam, Qualifying exam subjects, and Marks secured in the qualifying exam.     Date of Birth Criteria: The candidates belonging to general and OBC category should be born on or after 1 October 1993 to be eligible for JEE Main January 2019 exam. The candidates who are belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) should have been born on or after 1 October 1988 as the candidates belonging to such categories are given age relaxation of 5 years. NTA will consider date of birth of the participants as mentioned on the Secondary Education Board certificate.

    Qualifying Exam Criteria: To be eligible for JEE Main January 2019 exam, the candidates must have passed class 12 or 10+2 exam or equivalent exam in the year 2017 or in 2018. The candidates who are going to appear in qualifying exam in 2019 will also be fulfilling the JEE Main January 2019 Eligibility Criteria. It is mandatory for the candidates to have taken 5 subjects in the class 12 or 10+2 exam or equivalent exam and the subject combination in qualifying exam should be as under:

    Compulsory 5 subjects for B.Tech/ B.E. programs:

    • 1- Physics
    • 2- Mathematics
    • 3- Language
    • 4- Any one of from the subjects Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject and
    • 5- Any other subject

    Compulsory 5 subjects for B. Arch/ B. Planning Programs:

    • 1- Physics
    • 2- Mathematics
    • 3- Language
    • 4- Any one of from the subjects Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject and
    • 5- Any other subject

    Number of Attempts: The candidates can attempt maximum 3 times to the JEE Main exam. The candidates who are trying to attempt JEE Main exam 4th time will be disqualified from the exam.
