JEE Main Important Dates 2019 – NTA has revised the date of JEE Main 2019 Aprill session exam due to the Election Commission of India has announced the dates for General Election. Now the exam will be conducted from 7 to 12 April 2019. Application correction window is now open, the candidates can make a correction in the application (if required) from 11 to 15 March 2019. The candidates belonging to EWS category can change their reservation status to be applicable for EWS (economically weaker section) quota. The online mode application form of JEE Main 2019 April session is already closed on 7 March 2019. The candidates had to fill up the online application form till 7 March 2019. Earlier, NTA has released the result for the first session of JEE Main 2019 paper 1 exam on 19 January 2019 and for paper 2 exams on 31 January 2019 on its website. JEE Main Result 2019 for January paper 1 exam was released beforehand as previously it was expected to be declared on 31 January 2019. The first phase of JEE Main was held from 8 to 12 January 2019 and the second session will be held from 7 to 12 April 2019. Till the year 2018, JEE Main exam was conducted once in a year by CBSE, but from 2019, it will be conducted twice in a year by NTA which will increase the chances of admission of the aspiring candidates. NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2019 to offer admissions to the aspiring candidates into various engineering and architecture undergraduate level courses offered by various government and non-government institutes. Based on marks scored in JEE Main entrance exam, the aspirants will be eligible for admissions to various NITs, CFTIs, and other institutes taking JEE Main scores.     NTA has closed the online mode application process for JEE Main April 2019 exam on 7 March 2019. Now, the candidates can make a correction in the application form from 11 to 15 March 2019 by clicking the link given below:

    As per the latest notification released by NTA, Aadhaar Number is not mandatory to fill up the online application form of JEE Main 2019. The applicants can enter any valid government identity number while filling up the JEE Main online application form.

    JEE Main Important Dates 2019 – Highlights

    JEE Main Application Form 2019 Application forms for JEE Main 2019 exam is released separately for both January and April session. Aspirants willing to apply for April 2019 session, need to fill in and submit their application forms from 1st September 2018 to 30th September 2018. For the April 2019 session, application forms are made available from 8th February 2019 to 7th March 2019.

    JEE Main Admit Card 2019 Admit cards for January 2019 session has been released on 17 December 2018. From 20th March 2019, admit cards for April 2019 session will be made available on the official website for download.

    JEE Main 2019 First session of JEE Main 2019 exam will be concluded from 8th January to 12th January and the second session of JEE Main 2019 exam will be conducted from 7th April to 20th April 201. From 2019, the exam will be conducted in 8 different slots.

    JEE Main Result 2019 On 19 January 2019, the result for JEE Main 2019 January paper 1 exam was declared and on 31 January 2019 JEE Main 2019 January paper 2 exams are declared. The result for the April session will be declared on 30 April 2019. Soon after the declaration of second session exam result, exam conducting authority will process the counseling schedule to be released for admissions and seat allotment process.

    What are the changes introduced by the MHRD for JEE Main exam?

    Previously, the Government of India, MHRD notified several changes in the Joint Entrance Exam. The changes are listed below:

    • JEE Main exam will be conducted twice in a year. First JEE Mai exam will be conducted in January and second JEE Main 2019 exam will be held in April 2019.
    • Candidates have no need to verify their 12th standard roll number.
    • JEE Main exam will be conducted in online mode only from the year 2019 onward.
    • Candidates will be able to book their preferred slots, as per their preference and convenience.
    • Only top 2,24,000 JEE Main 2019 qualified candidates will be only eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2019.
    • Out of 258 exam centres identified by NTA, 248 exam centres will be in India and 10 centres will be in abroad countries
    • The diabetic candidates can take their sugar tables, can have fruits and can carry a transparent bottle of water with them in the examination halls.

    In 2018, the JEE Main exam was conducted on 8th April, 15th April, and 16th April. Results for the exam were released on 30th April for the offline exam, and on 31st May for JEE Main online exam. Till 2012, the JEE Main and JEE Advanced exam was conducted as IIT JEE Examination. But from 2013, CBSE got the hold of the examination. From 2019, NTA will take over the conducting authority from CBSE and thus, National Testing Agency will conduct the JEE Main exam. In 2018, around 12 lakhs students appeared for the JEE Main exam. Out of 12 lakh aspirants, 10 lakh students opted for JEE Main offline exam. In 2019, the percentage of students applying for the exam is expected to increase as there are certain changes in the exam made by the government of India.
