JEE Main Exam Pattern 2020- NTA has made some changes in the JEE Main exam pattern 2020. The detailed exam pattern of JEE Main 2020 exam with a number of questions and type of questions have been announced by NTA in the official information brochure published on 3 September 2019. Paper 2 exam will have now separate papers for B.Arch and B.Plan courses. JEE Main Exam Pattern 2020 is a fruitful bunch of information for the candidates who are preparing for JEE Main exam to be held in 2020 so that they can plan their study timetable accordingly. NTA has released the exact date schedule for JEE Main January as well as JEE Main April 2020 exams. In order to prepare for JEE Main 2020 exam in a particular way, the candidates must go through the JEE Main exam pattern 2020 and keep it in their mind. JEE Main exam is a national level common entrance test conducted to offer admissions to the deserving candidates in various engineering and architecture courses offered at government and non-government institutes such as IITs, NITs, IIITs and more. National Testing Agency has made some changes to be practiced from 2020 and the major change would be; JEE Main exam will be conducted twice in a year in computer-based online mode. JEE Main Exam Pattern 2020 will be almost as same as previous year’s exam pattern except one major change can be seen from JEE Main 2020 exams that is the exam will be conducted in online mode only.

Through JEE Main 2020 exam, the aspiring candidates will be offered admissions in BE/B. Tech and B.Arch/B.Plan courses. The first JEE Main 2020 exam will be organized from 6 to 11 January 2020 and second JEE Main 2020 is scheduled to be held from 3 to 9 April 2020. Online application procedure for JEE Main January session exam is started on 3 September 2019 and the aspirants planning to fill JEE Main Application Form 2020 for April need to submit the same from 7 February 2020.     Latest Update: NTA has made some changes in the exam pattern, for admission in B.Plan, there will be a new paper. 

    JEE Main Exam Pattern 2020

    NTA has determined the JEE Main Exam Pattern 2020 for JEE Main January and April 2020 exams. The candidates can check the official JEE Main Exam Pattern 2020. The JEE Main 2020 exam comprises of two papers, i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is being conducted for admissions of candidates in B.E./B.Tech courses, whereas paper 2 is to offer admissions to the aspiring candidates in B.Arch and B.Planning courses. The exam pattern for both the papers is mentioned below in a tabular representation.

    Paper 1 will be conducted for B.E./B.Tech courses. The exam will be conducted in online mode only. JEE Main 2020 paper 1 will consist of questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects. There will be 30 questions each from every subject. The exam will be of 360 marks. The questions will be objective type, and for each correct answer, the candidate will be rewarded with 4 marks. For each correct answer, 1 mark will be deducted. The mode of the language of the question paper will be Hindi, English, and Gujarati. The JEE Main Paper 1 will be conducted for 3 hours.

In B.Plan, Maths will have 20 MCQ questions and 5 numerical questions; Aptitude will have 50 MCQs and Planning section will have 25 questions. The questions will be of both objective and subjective type, and for each correct answer, the candidate will be rewarded with 4 marks. For each correct answer, 1 mark will be deducted. The mode of the language of the question paper will be Hindi, English, and Gujarati. The JEE Main Paper 2 will be conducted for 3 hours.

    JEE Main Mock Test 2020

    Since from 2020 onward, the exam will be conducted in a completely online mode thus, the candidates must practice as much as online mock tests, as much they can. NTA will establish the number of practice centres for the help of students belonging to rural areas. Aspirants can go and practice there on weekends from September 2019, free of charge.
