National Testing Agency was constituted after being approved in the union cabinet with an objective to cut the excess workload of the bodies like CBSE and AICTE from exam conducting responsibilities. Government disbursed a budget of Rs. 25 Crores initially to form NTA and start its operations under Ministry of Human Resource Development. The agency is expected to become self-sustainable soon. NTA will be responsible for conducting the exams like:
- JEE Main
- NEET UG
- UGC (University Grant Commission) Exam
- NET (National Eligibility Test)
- CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test)
NTA will operate as an autonomous body and the former CBSE Chairperson & Secretary Mr. Vineet Joshi has been deputed as the director general of the National Testing Agency. CBSE has been instructed to handover all the exams related data to NTA so that the previous references can be accessed as and when required. The students planning to appear in the exams to be held now by NTA must be surprised after reading this article, but this change is not going to influence the significance of any exam. Hence, keep preparing for JEE Main Exam 2019 as the success in such exams asks for hard work- be it CBSE-held or conducted by NTA.
