Things to be kept ready before Filling the Online JEE Main Application Form 2019
The candidates, who want to fill up and submit the online JEE Main Application Form 2019, must be ready with the following documents before filling the online application form:

- Class 10 and 12 details

The candidates, who want to appear in the JEE Main 2019 exam, first need to fill an online application form which is now available on the official website of NTA. Also, the candidates can reach the page of online application form directly by clicking on a link given below. The candidates can fill and submit the online application form for JEE Main January 2019 from 1 September 2018 and application process for JEE Main April 2019 exam will begin from the 8th February 2019.
The application process for Fresh Candidate Registration
To fill the online JEE Main Application Form 2019, the candidates have to follow the 5 steps which are briefly explained below:
STEP 1: Registration Process
The candidates have to visit the official website and have to first click on the button “Apply for JEE Main 2019” and then the candidates have to click on “Proceed to Apply Online. Now, the candidates have to complete the authentication process by entering some basic details of him/her such as government identity number (Aadhaar or voter id or passport etc), name, gender, nationality, educational details, state of eligibility, etc. Aadhaar card is not a mandatory document for applying for JEE Main from the year 2017, the candidates can use any valid government identity number.
STEP 2: Filling JEE Main 2019 Online Application Form
In step 2, the candidates have to provide exam related details like Mode of Examination, paper applying for, Choice of Examination Centre and the Question Paper Language Medium personal details such as the name of the candidate, father and mother’s name, category, nationality, etc. After that, the candidates have to enter their mailing address details and communication details. After filling the required details in JEE Main 2019 online application form, the candidates have to now create a password for future logins and also have to choose security question as per their choice (It will be asked in a case of forgetting application number or password) and answer the same question. Now the system will automatically generate a JEE Main Application number. The candidates have to now note down the chosen password and system generated application because it will be always used for logging in on the official website.
STEP 3: Mobile Number & Email ID Verification
Now the candidates have to verify their personal mobile number and email ID which was entered in step 2. The system will send an OTP on the mobile number as well as on email ID. In order to verify it, the candidates have to enter the OTP sent on mobile number and on email ID.
STEP 4: Uploading Documents
After completing 3 steps, the candidates have to now upload scanned copy of required documents. The candidates have to upload the scanned copy of their photograph, signature and the signature of their father/mother/guardian by clicking the button given there. After uploading a scanned image of the required documents, the candidates are advised to click the preview button and check if the documents are uploaded correctly or not and then submit them.
STEP 5: Making Payment of JEE Main 2019 Exam Fee
After filling the JEE Main Application Form 2019, the candidates have to now make payment of JEE Main Exam Fee 2019. The candidates can pay the fee using online as well as offline modes to pay the examination fee. The candidates can choose any of the options mentioned below:
- Online Mode: The candidates can pay the application fee using Credit Card/ Debit Card/ PayTM/SBI Buddy Wallet/ Net Banking/ Cash Cards.
- Offline Mode: If the candidates want to pay through offline mode, then they have to download Echallan by clicking an option given there and then pay the JEE Main 2019 Exam Fee in cash at any branch of SBI Bank.
STEP 6: Booking JEE Main 2019 Exam Slot
After successfully making payment of JEE Main 2019 Exam Fee, the candidates have to book their exam slot for computer-based test. The candidates have to now select a date from the given option there. After that, the candidates will be able to see the details of exam center, name, date and remaining slot on the computer screen. The candidates have to confirm the details displayed on the computer screen.
JEE Main Application Form 2019 Submission
After completing all the steps mentioned above, the online JEE Main 2019 Application Form will be considered as a submitted application form. On submission of online application form, the candidates will receive a confirmation page on the computer display and also a mail regarding the same on their email ID. Now, the candidates have to take a printout of it and keep the confirmation page safe for the future reference. The candidates are not required to send it to JEE main conducting body.
The application process for JEE Main 2019 January Registered Candidates
The candidates who have registered for JEE Main 2019 January exam need not fill the complete application form. Such candidates have to follow the steps mentioned below:
- Step-1: Candidate has to log in with the Application Number of the January 2019 examination and its created Password/date of birth. The details of the Candidate’s name, Mother’s name, Father’s name, Category, PwD status, Gender, Date of birth, State code of eligibility will come in the drop-down menu, as filled by the candidate during January 2019 examination application form. Since these details are recorded in NTA scorecard of the January 2019 examination, any further correction cannot be allowed.
- Step-2: Complete the Application Form by filling your choice of course(s) (Paper-1 or Paper-2 or both), question paper medium, and choice of four centre cities.
- Step-3: Payment by Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/e-Challan.

JEE Main Application Form 2019 Correction
The candidates who will successfully submit the JEE Main Application Form 2019 for the April session exam before the last date will be given chance to make the correction in the application form. Those candidates who are applying first time for JEE Main 2019 exam will be given time from 11 to 15 March 2019 to make the correction in the submitted JEE Main Application Form 2019. How to Make JEE Main Application Form Correction 2019?
Candidates need to follow a predefined process to make the corrections in their already submitted JEE main application form. The steps will include:
- Go to the official website of NTA/ JEE Main 2019.
- You need to find ‘Application Form Particulars Correction’ tab.
- Click on the same and feed the dialog box with your application number, security pin, and password and you will get the access to your application form.
- Now you need to hit the ‘Manage Form Particulars Correction’ tab.
- Read the instructions and click on the ‘Correct Application Form Particulars’ tab.
- Edit the information which was wrongly filled earlier.
