ISER Seat Allotment 2019 – IISER Seat Allotment 2019 will be done on the basis of the score of the candidates in JEE Advanced, Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), and State and Central Boards (SCB). The candidates will be able to apply for admission in seven institutes of IISER which are Bhopal, Berhampur, Kolkata, Pune, Mohali, Tirupati, Thiruvananthapuram. IISER Seat Allotment 2019 will be processed based on the choice of program and institute entered by the candidate, the rank of the candidate in the merit list, and the availability of the seats. IISER Seat Allotment 2019 Eligibility through Different Channels
The candidates will be eligible through three main channels which will provide admission in IISER is mentioned below.
- JEE Advanced 2019
The candidates who will secure the rank from the 10,000 rank list of JEE Advanced 2019 will become eligible for admission process in IISER institutes located in different parts of India. If the candidates have selected in ‘float’ option, then they can either retain the seat that is offered to them or they could make a change according to the preference made by the candidate. The names of the candidates will only appear in the merit list of IISER if they qualify the additional cutoff criteria.
- Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)
All those candidates who will get the scholarship from KVPY will also be eligible for IISER counselling 2019 and IISER seat allotment 2019 after the additional criteria of additional cut off.
- State and Central Boards (SCB)
The candidates who have qualified 12th standard from Science stream will be eligible to apply. The candidates will be required to attain the percentage of cutoff in their respective boards. However, the candidates applying through the SCB channel will have to take the IISER Aptitude Test which will be organized in different parts of India.
IISER Fee Structure
The candidates belonging from General category and OBCNC need to pay an acceptance fee of INR 25,000. The candidates belonging from Schedule Caste SC), Schedule Tribe (ST), KM, PD categories need to pay INR 12,500. The acceptance fee will give the benefit of the ‘float’ option to the candidates who will are allotted the seats to the IISER institutes. If the candidate chooses to select ‘No’ under the float option then the candidates’ first preference will be final and if the candidate chooses the ‘yes’ as a float option or if the candidate fails to get the first preference during allocation then the candidates will be considered in following rounds.
Payment of Seat Acceptance Fee
The candidates belonging from General category and OBCNC need to pay an acceptance fee of INR 25,000 and the candidates belonging from Schedule Caste SC), Schedule Tribe (ST), KM, PD categories need to pay INR 12,500 to confirm their admission.
Withdrawal of Seat
The candidates will be able to withdraw the seats through the application portal only. The candidates are expected to withdraw the offer in the last week of July 2019. The candidates withdrawing from the IISER 2019 will not have to give any cancellation fees and if they do, it has to be given in the prescribed timeframe.
