It is computer-based engineering entrance exam conducted every year to shortlist the candidates for admission into various UG & PG level technical education courses run by Gandhi Institute of Technology & Management. Year of Qualifying the Exam An applicant must have qualified 10+2 in the year 2018. However, the students whose result will be awaited in 2019 can also apply.
Subjects Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics should be the major subjects of study in 11th and 12th.
Minimum Marks Candidates must possess the 12th passing certificate with at least 60% marks in required subjects as well as total aggregate while admission.
Nationality Only those candidates who hold the Indian citizenship can apply for GITAM GAT 2019.

Details of GITAM GAT Exam 2019 for B.Tech Programs

The length of the examination is of 2 hours which incorporates three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology. The mode of examination is online and the questions are of objective type i.e., Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). There are four options for each question. It can be assessed as 25 percent of the mark allotted (4 marks) will be deducted from the score. The questions which are unanswered will receive nil marks.

    GITAM GAT Eligibility Criteria 2019 for Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Pharmacy.

    Candidate should attain the 12th from a recognized university or its equivalent. Also, the candidate should obtain rank in GAT (UGPT) subject to the following criteria.

    • Bachelor of Technology Programs: An aggregate of no less than 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and first class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination
    • Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology: An aggregate of no less than 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and first class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.
    • Bachelor of Pharmacy: An aggregate of no less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology, subjects in the qualifying examination.
    • Bachelor of Architecture: An aggregate of no less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, subjects in the qualifying examination and shall also qualify in NATA/JEE (Main).

    GITAM GAT Eligibility Criteria 2019 for Master of Technology

    The candidate should attain no less than 60% aggregate marks or first class in the qualifying examination and rank obtained in GAT (PGTA).

    The candidate should pass B.Arch with no less than 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination and rank obtained in GAT (PGTA).

    GITAM GAT Eligibility Criteria 2019 for Master in Pharmacy

    The candidate should pass B.Pharm with no less than 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination from a recognized university and rank obtained in GAT (PGP).

    The length of the examination is of 2 hours which incorporates four sections: Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry. The examination is online and the questions are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). There are four options for each question. 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. The questions which are unanswered will receive nil marks.
