Ques. I have submitted the request for updation in my Aadhaar details (including biometric updation). I still haven’t got the updated details of my Aadhaar card. Can I apply for the exam?
Ans. Yes, you can apply for the exam. You will need to fill in their 14 digits Aadhaar card number (Aadhaar Enrolment ID/UR No.) as printed on the after submission updation request slip issued by Aadhaar center. You can also use any valid government identity number while filling up the JEE Main 2020 exam as the Aadhar number is no longer mandatory to fill up the online application form of JEE Main 2020.
Ques. What should be done in case of change of address mentioned on the Aadhaar card due to some reasons?
Ans. In case of change of address due to transfer or other reasons, the candidates must fill in their permanent or present address in application for JEE Main 2020, as no communication will be done by NTA through candidates’ address.
Ques. The name of my mother and father is different in Aadhaar card from that in the school records. What should I do?
Ans. all the aspirants must fill in such details as per the details in school records and on other identity proof, as these details are not matched from that in Aadhaar card.
Ques. How will candidates belonging to Assam/J&K/Meghalaya who don’t have Aadhaar Card apply for the exam?
Ans. Assam/J&K/Meghalaya candidates who have qualified or will be appearing in 12th class will need to provide their any other valid government identity number such as, passport number, ration card number, or bank account number, etc. such candidates will need to select their JEE Main examination centers 2020 in these states only. Whereas, candidates belonging to Assam/J&K/Meghalaya having Aadhaar card will be able to choose their exam centers across India as per their convenience and preference.
Ques. How will PIO/OCI/NRI candidates apply for JEE Main 2020 exam, as they don’t have Aadhaar card?
Ans. PIO/OCI/NRI candidates will need to apply using their passport details instead of Aadhaar card.

Ans. If there is any incorrect detail mentioned on the Aadhaar card, then the candidates must file a correction request at the Aadhaar center and should fill in the 14 digits Aadhaar Enrolment ID/UR Number printed on the slip issued by Aadhaar centre in lieu of complaint filed. The candidates can also use any valid government identity number while filling up the JEE Main 2020 exam as the Aadhar number is no longer mandatory to fill up the online application form of JEE Main 2020. Or the candidates can also fill in the old details in the application form and then file correction request.
