The University of Madras, Chennai has commenced the admission procedure for Master of Science (M.Sc) program in the Geoinformatics for the academic year 2015-2016. The M.Sc Geoinformatics course is offered at the Department of Geography under private stydy i.e. CBCS- semester pattern and the duration of the course is around 2 years.

Those candidates who wish to apply for this particular course must ensure that they have cleared BA/B.Sc degree examination with Geography/ Geology/ Physics/ Environmental Sciences/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Agriculture/Remote Sensing as the main subject of study or Geography as one of the subjects of study with knowledge of Mathematics/ Statistics at least at the Class 12 level or B.E Civil Engineering or any Information Technology related fields or an examination of any other university accepted by the syndicate as equivalent thereto.
Those candidates who are currently holding degrees in other subjects may also be considered if they can demonstrate interest aptitude and experience in a field that’s relevant to the application of the geospatial technology.

University of Madras M.Sc Admission 2015 Application fee:
An application fee of Rs 300 is to be paid by the candidates through demand draft (DD) in favour of ‘The Registrar, University of Madras, Chennai’.
The candidates are required to obtain the application form from the official website and send the completed form to ‘The Professor and Head, Department of Geography, University of Madras, Chepauk, Chennai – 600 005’.
