The Indian Navy Cost Guard Navik (GD) will be conducting a written test as an entrance exam for the purpose of shortlisting candidates of entry level coast guard Navik (GD). The admit cards for the same have been released via its official website and candidates can visit the official site and download them.
The Navy Coast Guard Navik was set up in 1978 via the Coast Guard Act of the Parliament of India and has vested in it the responsibility of the protection of India’s Maritime Interests, enforcing of the maritime laws and the guarding of the territorial waters of India.

All the candidates who have to download the admit car can do so by following the enlisted steps.
- The candidates will firstly have to log on to joinindiancoastguard.gov.in
- Then the candidates will have to click on the admit card 2015 link
- The candidates will then have to select the exam and click on it.
- The candidate will then have to enter their respective roll number and their date of birth and click on submit.
- The admit cards will then be displayed on the screen.
- The candidates are advised to take a print out of the same and save it for future reference.
Indian Navy Cost Guard Navik (GD)Paper Pattern:
The paper will be in the paper-pen based format and will be an objective type defense test. The exam will consist of written test, physical efficiency test and a medical examination for the recruitment of Naviks (General Duty) and Naviks (Domestic bank).
Those candidates who will qualify in the written test will then undergo a physical fitness test which will be inclusive of 1.6 km run that has to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 push-ups., they will also have to face a preliminary medical examination.
The test will be covering subjects such as Maths, Physics, and basic Chemistry, knowledge of English up to Class 12, general knowledge, current affairs, quantitative aptitude and reasoning.
Indian Navy Cost Guard Navik (GD) Eligibility Criteria:
Naviks (General Duty): Those candidates who wish to apply for this course has to ensure that they have completed Class 12 with the subjects of Maths and Physics via an educational board that is recognized by the central and state government.
Naviks (Domestic Branch): Those candidates who wish to apply for this course must ensure that they should have cleared matriculation.
