JEE Main 2016 Latest News “JEE Main 2016 Number of attempts amplified to 3“. The Joint Entrance Exam commonly known as the JEE Main 2016 is scheduled to be held on the 3rd of April 2016 in the offline mode and on the 9th of April and the 10th of April 2016 in the online mode. Previously only two attempts were permitted in order to clear the exam, but now as per the new official notification, the number of attempts have been increased to three. The registration for JEE Main 2016 commenced on the 1st of December and will be concluding on the 31st of December 2015.
The states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Nagaland and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, those candidates who are looking for admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier granting admission to students based on their State l level examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) 2016 application form online.
JEE Main 2016 Examination pattern:
The JEE is bifurcated into two parts: Main and Advanced. JEE (Main) is held for admissions to IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), NITs (National Institutes of Technology), CFTIs (Central Funded Technical Institute) and IIEST Shibpur (dual degree programme).
The JEE Advanced, on the other hand, is for admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), and Indian School of Mines Dhanbad (to be converted into IIT). JEE Advanced is the second stage of examination for admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology, conducted by seven zonal IITs under Joint Admission Board.
