After a particularly long wait the UPSC has announced the dates for the CDS-II (Combined Defense Services) examination. This exam would be held on the 1st Nov and the online application can be filled up to August 14 up till 11.59 PM after which the registrations for the same would be shut.
This exam is conducted by the UPSC biannually with the purpose of recruiting people into the Indian Military Academy , Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, Officers Training Academy (For men and women both) and only graduate unmarried candidates are deemed eligible to appear for this examination.
The shortlisting of the candidates will be made on the basis of a written test which will be followed by an interview after which they will be enrolled into the respective institutes. The paper would consist of questions from subjects such as English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics. There would be negative marking for each incorrect answer. Those candidates who are considered eligible would be issued an e-Admit card 3 weeks prior to the commencement of the examination.

CDS 2015 Application procedure:
Candidates who wish to apply for the examination have to first log in to the official website and the UPSC exams link, and then click on CDS II Exam link to apply online. The candidates is required to fill in all the valid details and not leave the form incomplete and then click on the “Submit” button to submit the form. The next step is the payment of the application fees and taking a print out of the form for future reference.
