The Central Board of Secondary Education is all set to announce the AIPMT Results (All India Pre Medical/ Pre- Dental Entrance Test) scheduled on the 17th of Aug. Dr. Arvind Goyal who is a Chandīgarh based AIPMT tutor has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking the answer-keys of the candidates.
As a result the candidates will now possess the assess to the scanned images of their OMR sheets and the answer-keys via logging in through their Registration-ID. The candidates can make avail of the OMR sheets from the 10th of August at 10 am till the 11th of August until 12.00 midnight. The answer keys can be checked from the 12th of August 10 am uptill the 13th of August 12 midnight.
There are no signs of refund by the CBSE
As per CBSEs rules a candidate will have to deposit an amount of 1000/- INR in case they raise an objection and that particular amount will have to be refunded if the candidate’s objection is accepted.
Arvind Goyal who filed the RTI seeking the total amount of fee received via the CBSE from the students for filing objections and the number of objections that were received for various questions in AIPMT claimed that “It is impossible that the board does not have any record for all the objections filed. An exam that happens at a scale where nearly 6 lakh candidates appeared for it, is an issue of public interest and cannot be denied.”
He further lamented that “We expect that the Board returns the money of the candidates who filed objections earlier and did not apply any, this time. The records should be clearly maintained.”
The CBSE has however refused the requisite information.
