CMAT popularly known as Common Management Aptitude Test is going to be conducted by The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). This exam is conducted for the admission of aspirants in postgraduate management courses in different colleges in India. The AICTE has passed the decision to conduct Common Management Aptitude Test only once in a year. Until now this competitive exam was conducted twice in a year. The CMAT exam was scheduled to be held in the month of September but it was postponed and now the exam is going to be held in the month of January, 2016. This change is has been brought up for the next academic year 2016-2017 onwards.
Since 2012 the exam is being held by the AICTE twice in a year i.e. September and February for the admission in PG management programmes. In the first week of August the council was going to provide information about CMAT, but the process has been on stay. The candidates will be up to date about their roll number, admit cards, test date, test time, reporting time at the location, site name, spot address as well as brief instructions during the exam. The official notification was which was expected to be released in the month of September might be postponed too.
CMAT is a national level admission test conducted to select the best suitable candidates for the admission in all colleges affiliated by AICTE. It will be measured as the main exam for Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) course for the academic year 2015-16.
