DU LLB – LLM Entrance Exam 2016


DU LLB – LLM Entrance Exam 2016 – Delhi University Law Entrance Exam popularly known as DU L.L.B & L.L.M is a state level exam. It is conducted to offer admission to aspirants in 3 year Bachelor’s Degree in L.L.B and 2 year master degree in L.L.M course into different associated colleges. Eligible and interested applicants can fill the application form from May, 2016 from the official website www.dullb.com. Currently there are more than 3, 50,000 students studying in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses across Delhi. The DU L.L.B & L.L.M exam is going to be conducted by the University of Delhi. Applicants who are appearing for the exam must download their admit card from the official website end of May, 2016. The DU L.L.B & L.L.M entrance exam shall be held in the month of June, 2016. Applicants can get the exam pattern, eligibility, application form and dates of the exam below.

For L.L.B Course:

Applicant who has completed their Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent degree from a recognized University can apply for the examination.

Applicants appearing must score at least 50% of aggregate marks in their graduation for general category students (45% in case of OBC category and 40% in case of SC/ ST category students)

Applicants will get relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility arranged for general candidates will be permissible to widows/wards of ex-servicemen/serving personnel (CW) category.

For L.L.M Course:

Applicant appearing must have completed their L.L.B degree from the University of Delhi or its equivalent degree from a recognized University to apply for the examination.

Applicant should score a minimum aggregate of 50% of marks in their L.L.B degree and 45% in case of students for SC/ ST /OBC category students.

Applicants who are appearing in the qualifying Degree examination or awaiting the results of any such examination are eligible to appear in the LL.M. Entrance Test but the admission will depend on their securing the minimum eligibility marks prescribed above.

DU LLB – LLM 2016 Application form

Applicants who satisfy the eligibility criteria can follow the steps given below to apply for the examination:

Applicants need to visit www.dullb.com the official website and download the application form to register. Applicants need to fill in their personal, qualification and other details a mentioned in the form. After filling up the form applicant need to attach their recent passport size photograph and sign on the space provided. Applicants need to complete the process by sending the application form to Admission Committee, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, Delhi – 110007.

DU LLB – LLM Entrance Exam 2016 Application fees

  • For General and OBC candidates through Counter Rs.700/-
  • For SC and ST candidates through Counter Rs.250/-
  • For General and OBC candidates through Post Rs.750/-
  • For SC and ST candidates through post Rs.300

DU LLB – LLM 2016 Exam Pattern

For L.L.B Course:

  • The test will be of 2 hours duration.
  • The language of paper will be in English Only.
  • The paper will consist of 175 multiple choice objective type questions.
  • Applicant will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • The content of the paper is in 2 parts:

1-English Language Comprehension, General Knowledge & Current affairs, Reasoning & Analytical Abilities

2- Legal Awareness and Aptitude

For L.L.M Course:

  • The paper will consist of 175 multiple choice objective type questions.
  • The test will be of 120 minutes.
  • Applicant will obtain 4 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark will be reduced for every wrong answer.
  • The paper will be available in English Only.
  • The content of the paper is in 2 parts:
Constitutional Law of India, Jurisprudence,
Law of Contracts, sale of goods Law of Torts, Consumer Protection
Family Law Public International Law
Criminal Law Company law and Partnership
Intellectual Property Rights, Cyber Law, Environment Law
In addition a few questions may address contemporary legal issues

      I am graduate form B.Com with 52% marks, I am regularly visiting on Websites of DU and DU LLB from the starting of April, Now we are in middle of April, half month of April has been passed, we are unable to find the application form. So please tell us when will be the form come out and when will be last date of applying.

      And please confirm us that which documents are required at the time of application.

      The application procedure is partially online. After downloading the application forms online, you would need to fill up all the details and then attach all the necessary documents and then need to send it to the concerned authority (DU)

      The application procedure is partly online, after downloading the application form and filling it up, you would need to attact the required documents and fees and send it by post to the university.

    Would you please suggest me how can i preparation for “LEGAL AWARENESS AND APTITUDE “. I ve already downloaded the syllabus however i want to know how many question coming in particular subject wise,

    1. English language comprehension
    2. General knowledge & Current Affairs
    3. Reasoning
    4. analytical Abilities and
    5. Legal Awareness and aptitude.

    I ve been downloaded last 10 years question however it is challenge for me to comprehend.

      The DU LLB Entrance exam consists of one paper compromising of 175 objective type questions.
      The syllabus along with the break up is as follows:
      1. English language and comprehension : 25-30 questions
      2. Current affairs : Not more than 5 questions
      3. General knowledge : 30 questions
      4. Quantitative aptitude : 10-15 questions
      5. Analytical & Logical Reasoning : 20 questions
      6. Legal Awareness and Aptitude : 85-90 questions

      With regard to how to prepare for legal awareness and aptitude: It consists of current legal knowledge, questions on the basis of principle and reasoning, constitutional(fundamental rights and duties, powers of president, governor, Vice-President, Prime Minister, Loksabha, Rajya Sabha), headquarters of well known organisations across the world, basic of criminal and civil law, law of tort.

      The application forms would be out from April 28 – May 24, Also note that the exam would be conducted from June 19 – June 23.
