Delhi University UG Admissions through Entrance Test 2017 Eligibility Criteria

For Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Business Economics) & Bachelor of Financial and Investment Analysis

The 3 courses which are conducted under the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences and Humanities in different colleges of Delhi University are as follows:

Admissions into the above 3 programs would be done through JAT (Joint Admission Test). The eligibility criteria which are required for the test are as follows:

  • Those of you who belong to general category need to secure a minimum total of 60% at 10+2 level in 4 subjects consisting of English, Mathematics and other 2 subjects from the list of elective subjects which are approved by the University of Delhi
  • They need to have cleared individually in each of the 4 papers which are considered for computing his/her overall total in class 10+2.

Candidates would get admission into the program based on their performance in the MCQ based entrance test organized by the university. The eligibility criteria to appear for the test are as follows:

  • You need to secure at least 60%(for general category) aggregate in class 12th in 4 subjects including Mathematics
  • For those who belong to OBC and PwD/CW category, minimum required aggregate is 54% and 57%. In case candidates belong to ST/SC category, a minimum pass is adequate to appear for the university entrance test.

Candidates are given admission to the program on the basis of their performance in the MCQ based entrance test, organized by the university. Following are the eligibility conditions in order to appear for the test:

  • Those of you who belong to general category need to obtain at least 60% total at class 12th in 4 subjects.
  • Whereas those who belong to OBC and CW/PwD category, a minimum aggregate of 57% and 54% is required. In case candidates belong to ST/SC category a minimum pass is sufficient in order to appear for the university entrance test.

How to Apply for Delhi University UG Admissions through Entrance Test 2017?

Those of you who desire to take admission in the above mentioned UG courses need to apply through the online web portal for centralized registration. An application form needs to be filled up by the candidates and needs to be submitted along with the non-refundable processing fee of Rs 500/- for general category whereas Rs 250/- for ST/SC/PwD candidates. The fees need to be paid through one of the available online payment options in order to complete the registration process.

The complete detailed steps in order to register for admission to the listed UG courses is as follows:

  • Candidates need to visit the official website and then click on the “Register Here” link.
  • After you enter all the details such as name, email id, mobile number, etc, candidates would be send a confirmation link on the provided email ID.
  • Once you have completed the registration process, you need to log into the admission portal using the registered email ID and password.
  • Then candidates would have to upload the following documents:
  1. Scanned signature (maximum size: 50kb; Formats: JPG/ JPEG/ PNG)
  2. Scanned Passport size photograph (maximum size: 50kb; Formats: JPG/ JPEG/ PNG)
  3. Self-attested copy of Class 10th Certificate (maximum size: 100kb, Formats: JPG/ JPEG/ PNG/ PDF)
  4. Self-attested copy of Identity Proof (maximum size: 50kb, Formats: JPG/ JPEG/ PNG)
  5. Self-attested copy of Caste Certificate, if applicable (maximum size: 100kb, Formats: JPG/ JPEG/ PNG/ PDF)
  • Once you have uploaded all the above required documents, candidates can then proceed and click the “Submit” button and view the candidates personal details as entered. Any changes or updates in the candidates detail need to be made at this step.
  • Now you would have to start filling up the registration form by entering the UG course name for which the candidates desires to apply and his/her choice of the entrance exam centre in one of the listed cities.
  • After mentioning all the educational qualification details, then you would have to click on “Save Application” link and proceed further to pay the registration fee through any of the payment methods.
  • The application submission procedure would be completed only after making the online registration fee payment.
