COMEDK PGET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Those of you who wish to apply for the COMEDK PGET 2017 must ensure that they do fulfill the eligibility criteria as declared by the exam conducting authority i.e. Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK). The said examination is considered as the pre requisite exam for those of you who are looking out for admissions to the MD/MS/Diploma Courses in as many as 600 seats in 12 Medical and 20 Dental Colleges affiliated to COMEDK. The application forms of COMEDK PGET 2017 have begun from November 10th 2015.

COMEDK PGET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for COMEDK PGET 2017

  • Candidates from all over the Country can appear for COMEDK PGET 2017 examination
  • Candidates must meet all the requirements stipulated by MCI/DCI from time to time
  • They should have successfully passed their MBBS/BDS from an institution recognized by MCI/DCI
  • They must have completed or be completing their Internships latest by April 30, 2017
  • The minimum percentage of marks in the COMEDK PGET 2017 will be 50% for General Merit candidates and 40% for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe (All India) and Backward Classes belonging to Karnataka State
  • They should have obtained permanent registration with the MCI/DCI or any of the State Medical /Dental Council
  • In case, of the Indian National with the recognized degree from a Foreign University, the degree should have been duly registered in the Country where the degree is obtained and should also have been registered by the Medical/Dental Council of India

Those who are not eligible:

If you can relate to either of the enlisted points you wont be eligible.

  • Candidates already holding a PG degree in any Specialty
  • Candidates who are pursuing a PG Degree/ Diploma in any clinical specialty after securing the seat through COMEDK in earlier year
  • Candidates having selected a seat earlier through COMEDK and
  • Candidates having failed to join the college or failed to surrender the said seat at the COMEDK level or
  • Candidates having joined the college but failed to complete the course
  • Candidates who have been debarred by COMEDK during the previous year for any examination malpractice
