The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared a information notification and exam date for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test 2017.

As per planned, the examination will be organized on January 22, 2017.

On behalf of UGC, the CBSE organizes the examination for determining of Indian nationals for a number of posts, including: Assistant Professor, junior Research Fellowship & eligibility for Assistant Professor.

Eligibility criteria:

The students must acquire a Masters degree in the relevant discipline from a well known university or institute. The students those who have appeared for this programme or will be appearing in the final year or whose result is still expected or students whose qualifying examination have been postponed can also apply for this test.

Age limit:

Junior Research Fellowship: The maximum age of the students must be 28 years.

Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for those who are applying for Assistant Professor.

You would be selected based on the performance in all the 3 papers will comprise of only objective type questions.

Further, the students those who have qualified for the award of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue in the subject through post-graduation or in a linked subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor Post.
