Those students who haven’t been successful in clearing class IX have been asked by the Maharashtra state board of secondary and higher secondary education (MSBSHSE) officials to fill out form 17 in order to be eligible for the 2017 Class X examination.
In a circular that was released on the 12th of August, the secretary of the Kolhapur divisional board of the MSBSHSE Sharad Gosavi had stated that those candidates who were unsuccessful in clearing the Class IX examinations will have to fill up the form in order to appear for Class X exam and salvage their academic year.
Students failing Class IX have hopes of saving the academic year.
Gosavi stated that the form wasn’t new and would be made available for those students who opt as private candidates or for those students of class IX who failed in clearing the SSC Examination. He also stated that “We have asked the school headmasters to take the required action to let the students know about the form.”
He also stated that the MSBSHSE would also start entertaining online applications for the February 2017 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination from the 17th of August.
The candidates will have to visit the site www.mahahsscboard.maharashtra.gov.in in order to fill the form and the online applications for the same will be accepted up till the 31st of August and with late fees up till the 8th of September.
