    • Part I– Objective Type Questions
    • Part II–Objective Type Questions

The official announcement for the XAT 2019 exam pattern is released by the examination conducting authority. Therefore, the below table gives an idea about the XAT 2019 exam pattern so that the candidates can start their preparation immediately. So, let’s have a glimpse of it.

XAT 2019 Exam Pattern with Part Wise

Parts Section No. of Questions Duration Points for Negative Marking
Part I Verbal and logical ability  72 170 minutes

For any incorrect answer, 0.25 marks

For more than 8 unattempted questions, 0.05 marks

    Decision Making
    Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation
Part II General Knowledge 25 10 minutes No Negative Marking at all

Marking Scheme- As per the XAT 2019 scoring pattern, all questions are equally graded. For every wrong answer, a 1/4 mark is reduced. In the exam, the aspirants have the option to skip 12 questions. In addition, any unanswered question carries a negative score of 0.05. So the percentile calculation will be as follows

    1 right answer= 1 mark

    1 incorrect answer=1*-0.25=-0.25

    This denotes,

60X1 =60 (marks for your right answers)

    20X (-0.25) =-5 (for your incorrect answers)

    8X (-0.05) = – 0.4 (for unanswered questions)

So the total score will be= 54.6
